Mine were comfortable out of the box - some of the most comfortable shoes out of the box that I've had comparable to Alden. It did take a day for the heel counter to loosen up a bit, but nothing like a PNW boot.

My feet and gait are not representative of the mean though (very flat, very narrow with wider toes, sloped inward) so I always caution against reading too much into my experiences

I get my hat repairs done at Joyride Vintage/ Garrahan Hat Co. in Orange, CA.

Last time I was there I bought this latest addition to my collection. It's a Knox. I didn't yet have a hat with a turned up brim & this one filled the need.

I wasn’t feeling it. Been leaning more into the 70s vibes lately, and going to a show later in Richmond, so decided to reall lean into it today. Also did some fresh repairs to my Korean War M-52 with some Samurai scraps I had laying around.

You've been here long enough to know how we roll Jared.. it only takes one or two to start posting about something and we all bandwagon it.. the FWs thread for instance, lay semi-dormant for years till Duke came along, now we all love FWs .. if someone starts singing the praises of cowboy-crocs for example we'll all start wearing those and you'll be left reminiscing about the long lost loafer days :D
