Happy jeans: TCBxSufu S40s WW2 contest thread

Recommended Posts

I sold my S40s down the road, but I'll be joining you once a fresh batch is available in October. Going to wait on the post-production size charts and get the fit I'm looking for to properly enjoy these jeans as they deserve over the next 17 months.

@unders - Yikes! To put in context, I do mean secure the selvedge seam if you have hacked your hem off yourself and not then sewn it all back up... mine were starting to peel apart after I separated the masters hem from the body... just a couple of stitches for now to stop them peeling apart in the wash...

Denim fringe & pocket flashing, as contest trend :laugh2:.

Was planning on a no cuffs to slight break, so I requested for 34” hem (rigid). Expecting a 3” shrinkage on the length for a 31” finish,  but so far I’ve only got 2” off.

Garment glue applied on the edge, if hand stitching is not an option.  U can wash & wear until u’ve decided where to hem. Just snip the glued edge when ready.

I think this model has surpassed the 50s to become my favorite pair. Loving them so far.

^ Νo, I think your main takeaway from this thread should be that the new thing is cuffing waistbands

Best I can manage is a sort of antipodean sub-B_F pose, this time in panoramic Russian fisheye splendour

Still working on cuff placement – on a day when I'm walking around, I tend to wear them au naturel for dat roping, but here you can see a hurried double cuff

Superb Fit! I’m still struggling with the cuffs myself...

my wife drew a Felix on the pocket bag; came out nice imo!

Damn that’s nice man! Does your wife happen to travel to Antwerp from time to time? ;-)))

I am so jealous of people that master the art of drawing. I can’t draw a stick man to save my life lol...

anyhow, day 3 update:

these are (literally) growing on me. The waist is now at a few mm’s from 43cm.
That’s beyond raw measurement.
I’ll most likely wear these for 18 months without too much of a problem.
I am considering another cold soak or wash to get rid of some more starch. They still feel quite sandpaperish on my inner legs. Unless someone has another suggestion to get rid of this feeling... (the thing I hate most about new jawnz.)  I guess a beer gut is just not a good combination with super high rise jeans.  So every soak or wash will likely be a struggle.

I’m definitely getting one of these in 34 OW when the regular production run starts. But I’m also really thinking of a pair of 50s.

^ I don’t understand

Please illustrate

@mandel9000 does it the best. Although she is cheating because she doesn't have a muffintop.

Everyone who have returned stuff that didn't meet the chart measurements did you pay for the return shipping? Ryo have asked me to pay for the shipping which to me sound like a bit of a stretch as the product (in this instance the jacket) doesn't live up to the expectations.

How long did you soak them cold and do you think that will reduce fading the denim from OW
