A long shot, but anybody have an idea of the shrinkage on the denim used for the Lot 215 Type 2 jacket? Kinda in between sizes depending on the amount of shrinkage. Also, is the denim on all of the jackets same? E.g. the 118J, 147J and this lot 215.

They are all tagged as 12oz denim so i assume its the same.

I'd say they shrink a full size, but check this thread for more detailed meassurments

@SLAYER - What's the lot number on these please? and do you happen to know whether they're standard stock or a seasonal piece?

I'm looking here there and everywhere for a solid hbt pair that will be guaranteed roomy enough for me and something from these guys is becoming one of very few choices left

They don't have a Lot. Nr. there just called Military Chino, Butcher Products version from this year.

Seasonal or not i don't know, but they have been doing some kind of HBT pant every year with slight changes.

definitely very roomy

anyone know the prices of the denim in Japanese stores? Considering if it's worth having my wife bring a pair of 161 or 147 this summer

34000 yen I paid for jeans - I recently picked up a pair of 147.

Granted this was mail order, I don't think there's much difference if any though!

Can anyone advise me on the 147s, if you had to go up or down a size, which would you pick? I’ve wanted a pair for ages but can never make up my mind, and they’re a little too pricey to just gamble on…

@chicote I would probably say size up, I sold my 147s because the waist was a bit more nipped than I anticipated.
I also didn't give them much of a chance to stretch, but I personally think most of their jeans look better sized up.

My 147 are true to size (whatever that means) and they fit perfect. But if you can only go up or down then go up one. As @okimoto implied the hip is unforgiving.

For comparison I am a 31 in Warehouse, etc and wear a 31 in the 147.

I've had this 147J for quite some time now. Fell like i wanted to get rid of it for a while and it's just been sitting in the closet for a long time. Man, I'm i glad i came to my senses and didn't sell this jacket. Such an amazing jacket.

This is interesting, and not wanting to confuse the matter, but I am 34 across all Warehouse pairs, yet 32 in all At Last trousers - be they denim / chinos / other.

Fully agree though if you're in between then go up.

@chicote as per comments above, the 147s are slimmer in the hip and so if you're in between sizes then going for the bigger size makes sense.  They are not massively stretchy either compared to other jeans - pretty, nicely solid.  I have a w34 that fit nicely... I think I could also wear a w36 and they'd be fine too.  A cinch and belt combination should fix any issues.

Looks great - perfect cut and exactly how this jacket is meant to fit imo. Now you've got me wanting to buy one, especially as my 161J is on the looser side these days.

I’m not too surprised by this; most of my At Last jeans are one down from my Warehouse size. The high rise on the 147 & 161 puts them close to my actual waist

kind of got this pot belly going so I think I'll go for my usual size and not size down

I think the best thing you can do for At Last Co. is to try it on in store and take the sales associate sizing advice since all their items are based on a different pattern. I did that and left with a 42 jacket and 34 pant in the lot 147, which is much different to my usual 40 jacket and 36 pant TTS. So that would be almost a size down in the 147, it's their widest cut.

Those who have the 147 jacket @Facini does the fabric go through a stage of being very hairy? I was surprised at how much hair the denim had once it came out of the first wash.

I imagine the reason @chicote is asking is because he can’t try on in store.

Most probably correct, absolutely no chance for me being able to try items anywhere either - however, @chicote if you are looking to buy direct from Timeworn themselves - the process is super easy, and Isao is very willing to share sizing information and suggestions.
