Just took delivery of a pair of 30s jeans ordered from Bears. They're slightly snug in the waist but I'm hoping they will stretch to be just right. It would be great to see any worn-in pairs from owners here as there doesn't seem to be many floating around.

Got the 30s from Bears’ restock last month (indigo dyed pocket tab) and don’t really care for the fit in the hips and crotch area. Cinched slightly and wearing a belt, might have benefited from sizing down one. Size 30, inseam hemmed to 30”

@cottonskinblues sweet progress, did you encounter much stretch/shrinkage? Any photos of them on?

@okimoto tricky as I think the volume in the crotch/hip area is inherent to the cut. That shape in the leg looks sweet to me though.

Just dropped mine off to be hemmed and will try and grab some photos when they’re ready.

@harls hard to say about stretch because I always have to order 1-2 size bigger to accommodate thighs. From what I can tell about the fabric, not as stretchy as the 20s or 50s IMO. Regardless, I find the waist on any Jean will always give a little after a couple wears.

Agreed, and I am a slim guy so it is to be expected. Will still wear them regardless - great stove pipe leg in my opinion. Would love to see the fit on you once you get them back.

Keep going @PrettyBoyTony. Once the 50s get past that initial slow fading and start to pop, they look like totally different jeans.

Mine are just getting there after almost a year. I've also started working in the coffee industry again, and occasionally get behind the bar, which is giving it some solid wear and tear and dirt.

I also just picked up a new pair of both 50s and 60s with the indigo tab a few weeks ago, too. Excited to start the process over again once my current pairs get a bit more trashed.

They def are slow faders but it allows me to wear them regularly to the office. Maybe by next year they'll be perfect summer jeans.

I am intrigued by the indigo tabs. Will be cool to see how they age. The baggy 50s looks excellent too!

  • 4 weeks later...

Thinking of buying a pair of the 50s. Getting a bit bored of my current pair (Fullcount 1108xx) and want something roomier with a higher rise and wider hem. Seems like these could fit the bill, but the size charts suggest I'd want some 2 or even 3 sizes up from what I'd usually buy? From reading back a few pages it seems like I need to not overthink and trust the size charts? Any advice appreciated!

I would say the 50s is more mid than high rise with trim hips. I had to go up a size for a more relaxed fit
