Loving these Tezomeya t-shirts. Got one un-dyed and one Fujinezu-iro (deep purple). Worn both, washed one... they'll do nicely... thanks to @julian-wolf for sharing above. Agree they are a bit long on the 185cm but they're relaxed and can be tucked nicely so it's all fine. The colour is really nice and dull. I'll go a few more as the dyeing has my interest. Fujinezu-iro created by using insect galls. This deep purple color was one of the popular colors in Edo period and this dying process was also used for dyeing teeth black which was fashionable in Edo period. I'm not going full tilt with the black teeth though 😁7 points

Been searching a long time for this one: Evis era bull patch S506xx (1506). From comparison with other era pairs of jeans, it looks like No.2 denim. Lovely boxy, short silhouette. And slightly different than the norm, zinc-y laurel buttons. Don't think I can save this interesting construction tidbits: Single stitch cuff:6 points

At the denim market I went to today I managed to snag these almost new 710s for a great price, I've always wanted to give the 710 another honest try so it felt right to pick them up. The inseam is slightly shorter than what I'm used to but that's the Resolute style I suppose? First impressions are really good, love the lightness and fuzzyness of the denim and they are not quite as slim as I expected the 710 to be. A little bit of Hayashi-style for those who like that!2 points

^ Good buy, my pair have been some of my all-time favorites for the past few months1 point

I love 2 & 3 but the patch pockets on pants can be a PITA. Things tend to fall out when you sit down, etc. Those small hip pockets / too pockets are great for pocket knives, if that's your thing. What brand are those?1 point

Nice fit on those b_F, leg break looks really good with no cuffs. I'd wear my jeans uncuffed if I could get them to look that good, hah.1 point

400 fades looking nice in the sunlight, some roping/hem detail shots. I love how loosely they did the chainstitching on the hem,1 point

I totally get it. The product themselves seem differentiated regardless of the name. No need to justify what draws you to them. Just offering my opinion on the branding/marketing and how that impacts the product for me.1 point

And some interior photos, which I think have been lacking from previous updates…I'm a sucker for the 2x-spliced-together selvedge lines down the outseams, and for the oxidized–bleached spots where the front rivets hit the back yoke, when the jeans are folded.1 point

Had some time to kill w/ a needle and thread this week while out of town, so I put some more time in on the old M41200 that got their seat replaced earlier this year. Knees were wearing dangerously thin all the way out to past the outseams. Did the topstitching around the edges of the denim by hand, then closed everything up on the machine after getting back home. The patch fabric is leftover from some SC40302 Okinawa jeans that are now cutoffs, I think the grass-dyed version (whatever that means). Throwing in some general wear photos, too, while I'm here: the seams where the new denim from the last repair meets the old are starting to see some nice puckering!1 point

When I was a kid, we spent around a week each year at a family friend's cabin up in the mid-Sierra, off of the 108. It's on a (dammed) lake, so plenty of swimming, fishing, exploring, etc. Over the span of the 2010s, the lake got more and more crowded, and I focused my spare time less and less on frontcountry. Around 10 years went by without me visiting. Anyway, this summer we got an invitation to go back. I'm taking a few months off from work, so time isn't as much of a commodity for me; and, anyway, there's something going on with the connective tissue in one of my knees, so backcountry hiking is off the table for the time being. Cabin trip seemed perfect. Spent last week laying low, playing board games, sitting + swimming + fishing by the water, working on fixing up an old pair of Cane's…lots of fun through and through.1 point

I'm fortunate to have a job where I can dress however I want, and work from home 99% of the time, so I guess that helps. The last time I had a job where I had to wear "business casual" was ten years ago, and it was miserable, in that regard. I think heavyweight tees like Flat Head THC are perfect for places like California with a nice climate, but here in the sticky southeast US, I've found that heavy duty tees almost never feel comfortable to wear. It's funny to think back to summer 2013 when I was working at TFH and wearing thick tees every day in the warehouse, it wasn't too comfortable, hah. I like wearing a lightweight tee with an unbuttoned short sleeve (often from TFH!) on top. If I get hot, it's easy to remove a layer and cool down. Perhaps the real reason Ben has returned is that he was unhappy I was in the lead for the prestigious title of "most posts in the TFH thread"?1 point

A Whitesville t-shirt worn for 13 years.. they're not loopwheeled BUT it was worn by the guy who started this thread nearly 15 years ago:1 point

Some of you will think this is the most illegal thing to do but i think they turned out great. Long story short, i rarely ever wore these tcb 50s since they are too big and i have another pair of raw's that i'm fading. Since there are no light wash selvedge jeans i tought why not try with these since i dont use them. I tried 4 cups of bleach in a bathtub for 3h and it did absolutely nothing so i ended up pouring 2L of bleach in there and did that two times. Time will tell how much damage that did. But i will wear these more now.1 point
