Anyone know more about - or better yet own - a pair of the DW1001's issued in 2008?. There are a few pairs still floating around in my size, so I was debating picking 1 up. Cut from oxidized denim, with lasso stitching and a one-off DW patch that I like a lot; some retailers imply that they're a standard, 1001 fit:

I was looking at these back in the spring but eventually bought the WH1001 15th anniversary's instead.

I think they're basically the WH1001 with DW branding. If they have the measurements on a rakuten site, you can just compare them to the WH1001 measurements on BiG.

Does anyone have an opinion on the blueingreen D5's?.. They look interesting to me because they have a slightly shorter rises than what i usually wear, but still decent thigh room. From what i read, they are made from the 1000xx denim that many here are crazy about. I read pages and pages of this thread.. but they seem to have little mention. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Scout - D5 is made of 1000 oxidation denim, a little different fromt the regular 1000 denim. Here is an example of well worn pair with 1000 oxidation denim.

Thanks for the replies! I was curious how they felt.. impressions, etc. I am 6' tall... and more athletic build.. I can't wear a jean with a rise less than 11 inches. It feels like i will fall out of them. So.. i am hoping these will have a little bit of a more refined fit.. vs. the anti fit i usually wear because of my body type.

I see this "oxidation process" described in many of the Warehouse jeans description.. what is it? I prefer a raw jean.. so how does the oxidation process fit in with that? Does warehouse make a jean made with the 1000xx denim any more? It seems many here really liked it.

wgmds - I have broken threads along the inner thigh with all my jeans as well. It's a fairly simple fix with some threads and needle and a little patience and time. Just cut off the loose thread, tie off each end so that it doesn't unravel further and backstitch along the same line.

Scout - I believe the D5 is the same as the Jcrew X WH jean, only raw instead of one wash. If you go back a few pages, Vinneus has some fit pics. The jean is raw but Warehouse added oxidant the indigo. From the examples I've seen, the 1000 oxidation denim is a flatter blue while the 1000 denim is more vibrant blue. Check out Blue Gear (http://blog.livedoor.jp/char3red3/archives/cat_5158.html), good comparison photos. DD108 is made of 1000 oxidation denim.

Got my Warren DD108 through Sharp Service:

Been wearing them for 3 days now; instantly my favorite jeans EVER. 1000xx oxidization denim, size down one (although not my choice, these are the only pair available), color is darker than expected. Top block fits just right, with a nice straight silhouette. Not going to wear tapered cuts ever again.

I just noticed that. Good eye. I see what looks like a denim version with Boss of the Road arc as well. I've been wanting a pair of duck pants and this might be it.
