^beautiful denim that WH is...I'm guessing you picked them up while in Japan? I find that WH has some really great pre-distressing when it comes to certain master series (? forgot the name ATM) models, but really it is a testament to the denim itself!

Excellent... altho I find the Japanese vibe of just 'improving' vintage style jeans with modern features (belt loops or, as in this case, an extra pocket) weird. But whaddoiknow, I love the Duck Diggers and they reportedly sold very poorly...

Terrific wash though, about the best I've seen next to Bart Sights' Nevada. Looks more like a 30s than an 1890s denim, though.

When I met Roy6 up in S.F he thought I was wearing something I dug up. I don't know if the wash has something to do with the comfort, these jeans fit and feel really nice. Wgmds looks like a few grease spots, overall they don't have a greasy feel to them. Aho I picked up three pairs of pants from warehouse and the Blue Blue jacket from hollywood ranch market, we went to about 10 denim stores on our trip(amazing stores!!)

IIRC there was a DW660 but that one was discontinued and revived for the contest as he WH660. So I think you could get the 660 cut but not with the 1000XX denim

Did the New Warren Standard - which is a 660 cut - use 1000xx denim? I inferred as much from one Lightning Denim Issue, but I could be spectacularly wrong as I don't speak Japanese...

decided to keep my 1001xx 15th ann. in the end. they are definitely a lot roomier then all my other jeans; not to mention the high rise! I'm hoping there's still shrinkage when i give them another wash in the months ahead.

^Wise decision; they look good! They already fit on the slimmer side for that cut and, as the leg molds to your frame, will progressively seem even slimmer. Have you tried giving them a hot rinse in the washer? That got out dramatic shrinkage in my 1003's.

Slab - the jeans look great on you good decision to keep it. Even that tiny bit of hip flare in does not bother me, like jaspar said - keep wearing them.
