If i take 31w one wash and raw, what size should i go for with the hard wash okinawa? Im based in the uk.

My waist 31.5 hips 32-33.

I don't know how others feel about this, but I usually size down.

I sized down on a one-wash okinawas. My natural waist, 29, sized down to a 28 and I have no regrets so far. They always stretch in my opinion.

Do the okinawas one wash and hard wash from japan (with tabs) run small or true to size?

Ebayer seller provided me with measurments and pictures and the hard wash size 32x34 measured up 16in across. Thinking they would come up 31x34.

I think they generally run smaller; well according to SelfEdge.com they say they run smaller. When I ordered my one wash size 28 Okinawas from Hinoya, I measured it and it was 14" across. IN MY OPINION, whatever your natural waist is, just size down one. I usually get one size down cause you gotta account for stretching like I said earlier. But you may have a different preference on how you want to wear your jeans so it's up to you to stay true to size or size down one. I don't want to spoil your jeans if you size down and they end up being too tight on you. That's just my general preference for my body type when buying straight jeans.

Why don't you look it up yourself? Go on Hinoya's website and do a little bit of reading.

Non wash jeans will have the same measurements wherever they are sold. It's the just the stores selling them that have different ways to measure them.

yea, washed more times than i can remember after the first few months with usually a handwash with a bit of detergent. they don't lose alot indigo and the denim is still surprisingly dark in the lower legs!
