Thanks lance. Funny, your pair of D1554 looks quite different than the one Naoki has on his HP: http://pants-shop-avenue.com/item/D1554/
Your pair has more lining.

I noticed some minor shrinkage differences on my D1708 but nothing that would have an effect in terms of fading I think.

Oops Thanks, b_F, too early in the morning! Those are my D1507 so I’ve edited my post. The D1507 are heavier, slubbier  cotton which was Ai dyed by hand, I think, rather than natural indigo dyed by machine. Had to edit all that wonderful prose :) Thanks for the correction.

Thought I’d take a couple of side by side photos (with iPad Pro) of the D1507 (on the left) and the D1554 (on the right/top)

This photo shows the depth and richness of indigo color in the D1554 (right)

This photo shows the difference in texture, slubby (D1507, left), smooth (D1554, right)

Answering Beautifull Freeks' question: According to OD, Yes. Those 4 dyed wefts are also 40 th anniversary models. They each represent a different season (blossem dye for spring for instance). Compliments for the G-002! I also prefer straight models with a mid rise. Will post a pic of my D1714. Also not into tapered cuts, i ordered one though. Could not resistent the natural dyed fox cotton in green.

^ Loose yarns don't lie :)

SDA has always focussed on hand-dyeing too, and that means all the way to the core!

Some pics please lance?

Hey mikecch, I had occasion to look at a previous post of mine in the SDA thread (p 44) and noticed that you had requested pics of the cut ends of a few Ai dyed to the core belt loops to show indigo penetration. As can be seen, I'm a little late (7 years) in responding but hey, what the hell, here goes! :)

Aloha shirt. Made of 100% ramie (a super-luxury natural material) and inspired by Chōjū-jinbutsu-giga, the oldest work of comic that was painted around twelfth century or thirteenth century by unknown painters belonging to the Kozan temple in Kyoto. It is Indigo Nassen Dyed.

Great to have a pair of SDA back in the collection!

Kinda miss the original SDA pocket flash though, prefer the old card ones to the new material one

Thoughts on my 108.They really aren't a typical relaxed taper. They are quite loose most of the way down with a very very  late taper which gives them more of a straight shillouete,  especially after hemming. Ironically I'll probably have to get them tapered!

Aaah, no mate it was my thoughts on them as opposed to canvassing opinions! Love SDA jeans , my favourite fabric as I've said many times but this cut is a bit off for me

anyone know if there is much shrink on the FOX t-shirt/henleys? love the green color in particular but unsure of whether to go L or XL

Expect no shrinkage wahing it with cold water. They are slim fitted and short in length. I have the fox tee roadrunner in M size. I always wear M size in almost all brands and the FOX M fits me perfect but is really fitted. If you want a more relaxed fit I would go for the XL.

the fabric looks wonderful, but it also looks like it’s very high tension... does it breathe well at all?

So good! Have you mended them yourself?

Thanks! Not me - repairs were done by @chicote a year or two ago, he posted about it in the denim repair thread I think.

Edit: his posts are here, bout halfway down
