My jeans are finally getting to that "matte feel" now. Especially during summer, it always feels like they will start to accelerate in fading when it reaches that arbitrary status. Could be totally placebo.

After the third wash (I think). The usual bike seat fade and mild whiskering from a loose fit. Marbling galore. Waiting for that new shade to creep through, but still sitting on more or less the original rinsed indigo blue.

I stopped consistently working farmers’ markets around a year and a half ago, but I still like showing up on Tuesday evenings to get my (and the contest jeans’) weekly workout packing up my friends’ produce truck for them

In other news, a long overdue garden update: I think the first of my sunflowers are going to open today!!

I just couldn’t let these 30s contest jeans sit! @theguywhoknewthatguy had these listed in the sale section for a few months and thought someone else would join us, so I waited patiently. No one snapped them up! So I guess I have a 2nd pair of contest jeans-hope I’m not doing anything illegal!

Cant imagine wearing them as much as my original pair, but we’ll see. #192

Switch from one to another on alternate days, then hand in the best looking pair at the end of the contest.

We needed some sea air and Saltburn-by-the-Sea is about the closest coastal 'resort' near us at an 80 minute drive

Just got back from vacation visiting my parents in Florida, first time traveling with our daughter and she did great!
I've heard it gets much more difficult once they're a little older so we decided to take this trip now.
Didn't wear the jeans much outside of travel days, but giving them another wash today so I'll update with post wash pics.
Got some crazy rain in central Texas while we were away, came back home to our roof slightly leaking but fortunately nothing was damaged.
Taking it all in.

She really loved the sound of the ocean and did well in the pool too!

Always eat as much seafood as I can whenever I'm near the ocean.

Hard to imagine that we still have 12 months left!
Here's some post wash photos of my pair, probably going to start rotating other pairs in so these don't get too washed out before the end of the contest.

It's interesting how some people are developing more rust on their buttons than others.
Mine have barely any rust at all, guessing it might have to do with the different water composition of where everyone is located?

The rust on mine is very recent. And I’m guessing might even rub off. It’s pretty superficial (like me!  )
