@CSL liking the look of those! How long are you going to wait to wash?

@srudy Theoretically never...

They are a good waist fit as is. I may be looking into dry cleaning, or some home remedy imitation of that.

I'm also considering building some kind of wooden rack to preserve the length in the event that I need to turn the hose on them at some point of inevitability.

That happened about an hour north of where I live! I have a couple beekeeper friends who wanted to drive up to witness the bee's behavior -- as you can imagine this is a novel situation for everyone involved...

@julian-wolf my limited experience so far tells me even that with gentler washes these are gonna keep shrinking a touch - I bet if you give it a good hot one now you’ll just end up where you might have in a few months anyways?

@ATWM I’ve washed on warm a couple times now and they seem to be about as shrunk as they’re gonna get just sticking with that routine, but I don’t think I’ll ever do ultra-hot nor put them through the dryer

For the marble guys, seems the dryer is the "marble maker"? I have washed mine fair regularly but am not using the dryer for fear of shrinking them too much. Mine don't seem to be showing much marbling. Unlike my Denime 220a that I have been drying.

Seems to be the case for me, though I hang dry over night and pop them in the drier on low for 5-10 minutes in the morning for residual moisture in order to wear that day. Was hoping for more even fades, but regardless it's reflective of my lifestyle choices 😅

Can confirm heavy marbling. Too much marbling for me. It's moving me towards washing every 8 weeks or so because I don't want them going crazy like my Warehouse x Signet jeans did. Mine turned a corner after a thousand miles through the desert and they seem to be dropping indigo more quickly these days. I think @Broark's pair hits what I want, but not what I'm getting. Lol. Once it stops raining here, I'll try to get a few new pics up.

My experience so far is different - I did the first three washes by hand though - hang dry. Very minimal marbling. Not close to what my WH 1003xxs are (which I am pretty sure are the pair that was adopted to the Signet contest jeans - or at least the same denim, I just got the regular run before the contest). That pair does have some decent marbling.

Finally did a machine wash and didn't notice much marbling either - they may have gotten past that point. That said, I'm currently without my pair as they get some darning done and I expect to only machine wash and wash more frequently, so we'll see if anything changes but it could be awhile.

my pair is marbling too. I thought is my washing machine, but last time I did hand wash and after hang drying it looked same as after machine wash. IMO we have to prolong not washing time, to let denim to live and let mechanic tear to work.

Biggest marbling I noticed on my Denime 220A. IMO it's kind of denim doing that. And there even long time between washes didn't help. IMO it's kind of denim used for 220A is doing that.

Still haven’t washed mine since the initial soak, so not much to show as of yet, I’m holding off before I wash.
But, I did attend our new little town’s Western Weekend Parade which is a sweet and odd culmination of ranchers, farm workers and kooky hippies!
