Chino pants

@mstax I can’t help with your search for Warehouse chinos. However, I own a pair of the FW M-1941 chinos and think they’re great. The quality is superb. The rise and taper are personal preferences, of course, but I’m happy with both on these. The rise is fairly high, but not ridiculously so, and I find it very comfortable. I don’t notice the taper, although I did have the last few inches lopped off (since I’m a shorty), which has presumably given mine a wider leg opening than standard.

@mstax Ah, sure- 38, not 36. Sorry, I had that mixed up.

Good luck - also looks like a solid pair of trousers.
Or perhaps, if you can find them, the peanuts ones by Jelado. They recently issued the last one in that specific style.

@tjsma Thanks. I might try the FW 1941 since I don’t expect the WH 1082 to be available anytime soon. Do you know if the FW are 100% cotton stitched? I know the WH are.

I don’t know, to be honest. You could ask in the Freewheelers thread. I’m sure someone could tell you.

I enjoy a nicely broken in pair of chinos, Warehouse has a few examples of their 1082's in their aging archive which are subtly nice.
My Freewheelers M-1941 trousers are aging nicely, I wash them regularly and they've started to lose their sheen. I'll have to post some photos of them soon.
Here's a pair of the WH 1082's.

@Broark Do you have the measurements of your WH 1082 W32? Is the fabric stretched a lot at the waist?

Bought the Phigvel wide officer chinos instead of the straight model to replace my Buzz chinos I sold a few months back.  Should be interesting once I get them in.

Phigvel wide officer trousers.  Fit is pretty good but I wouldn’t be surprised that they’ll shrink with wash.

Price wise, I was very reluctant to pay 30000 yen plus for some chinos so these had to be worth it.  The quality is very good and the attention to detail such as the cloth garbidine pockets, hidden key pocket in right pocket, stitching etc made this a go for me.

^the woods mountain guy has grey chinos. Also Buzz Rickson do a beige version in most of their options I think. I have both beige and khaki from them and can post a color comparison for you if needed.

That'd be helpful, if it's not too much trouble.

Can you share a color sample?

Check Hinoya's house brand chinos: https://hinoya.shop/en-us/collections/restock-info/products/401z-60?variant=35102072570009

Some neat color options, thanks for sharing! I'm not set on one particular grey-beige shade. A shade like one of the ones below would be great.

Buzz Rickson "original spec" chinos (the Great Escape "hilts" model) have a shade that's similar to the second swatch.. There's also a Sugar Cane "mountain cloth" chino that I recall looking quite a lot like the last swatch. More of a grey than a khaki. Burgus Plus also have some lighter colours, more like a bone/ecru.

Thanks! The Khaki color does seem similar. Definitely a candidate for me.

I searched for Sugar Cane's mountain cloth chinos and came across the SC41881. The color looks fantastic, but I unfortunately can't find my size. Seems like Sugar Cane hasn't done a recent run.

Maybe search for stone colored chinos. That seems closest to the shade that you are looking for.

You might want to take a look at the M1 chino from Jack Donnelly. Like Buzz, it's a WW2 style chino with similar measurements to the Original Spec chinos, although less of a faithful repro. Not sure if the khaki color is quite the shade that you are looking for though

Good tip. I just came across these "Stone" Spellbound chinos at Son of a Stag and I really like the shade. It's a shame the fit is slim tapered. I'll take a look at Jack Donnelly!
