@Double 0 Soul  Could not agree more with how fantastic this idea is for a thread.  I spent a couple of days in Sheffield a couple years ago whilst on a study abroad trip in London.  It is an utterly beautiful place to be and would love to get the chance to go back to stay more than a couple days.  Even for a short trip, Sheffield will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the first time my girlfriend and I traveled together and are still together today after over 3 years.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Turned down the street and saw two people down the way. My pace neared them. I realized it was a man and a woman. The man was repeatedly saying quite loudly "... got a small dick!" I thought I saw them both turn the corner and vanish from view, but I saw the lady was sitting in the bushes as I passed.UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_57ea.thumb.jpg.39639eff201253e558b3772d57fd6f44.jpg

I like looking at people from all over wear some of the garments I enjoy. Thailand, Indonesia, Sweeden... Some, I don't like the pictures they take. Some guy from the south of the USA never can fit his clothing properly, and the angle of his pictures is too low. His pants always have a weird fold in the crotch. Really? Who are the people we are sharing our passion of pants with?

thank u for the wishes bros! we got off practically scot-free compared to many other jakartans. climate change is real!

My sympathies Ooms, Sheff is located at the convergence of 5 rivers so floods all the flippin time, when we have a good'un they paint the water level on the side of the pub.

Indeed, what was considered a 'once in a lifetime event' now seems to happen every few years.

Cheers Pudas, now I have even more cravings for Japan. Thankfully I'm booking tickets tomorrow!

Really like Nakameguro. Have you tried the pizza at Seirinkan? Best damn pizza I've ever had.

Not yet but it's on my list, there are so many good pizza places in Tokyo it is kinda crazy. That Savoy pizza place I took a picture of is somehow related to Seirinkan, I think the owner originally started it(it's a small chain now) but now only does the place in Nakameguro. PST, both HigashiAzabu and Roppongi, is also really great option. The food is definitely the best part of living here =). Our neighborhood doesn't have a huge amount food options but they are all at least very good with some definite gems among them and with a 10-20 minute walk we have more options than I would ever dream possible back in the states.

Moved to Tokyo about 6 months ago. There are some very nice temples and shrines in the neighborhood but I decided to skip pics of those for this.

Perfect pudas, we get to see enough temples and shrines but we don't often get to see all of this greatness^^ I really enjoyed the mooch through Yutneji

Nice Volvo! i knew i could depend on you for a post. 4th photo from bottom, are those stones on the roof tiles to stop them blowing off in the wind?

You've done me proud gents, it's got potential this thread.

Good start to the thread people, I'll have to transfer/update the denimbro camberwell gentrification edition (was in Peckham Rye on new year day: hipster dad in bowler hat spotted, no jks)

@oomslokop sorry to see the flooding; glad you got an easier ride with it; re: climate change realness, nice to know our world leaders are really looking out for the planet as they remotely bomb each other for distraction...

Here's my submission,  uploaded from my phone so bear with me...

Birmingham is a good place to live despite being the butt of many jokes..

it has a great social and dining scene, lots of really good independent places, home of the Balti and more Michelin starred restaurants than London and Manchester. You can get to both London or Manchester in under 2 hours and has the UKs greatest regional accent...

I live in  area of Brum called Harborne which borders Edgebaston, both of which were always considered old money areas, just outside Birmingham city centre. I took the pics while out running (freezing 8 miles explains the quality of some of them...) and tried to keep them within 10 mins walk or drive from my house.

Edgbaston still.has its share of very expensive properties but a lot have been took on by housing associations and turned into social housing, bedsits and hostels. Harborne itself has s lot of younger families and younger well to do people moving in.

Like a lot of Brum, the architecture is very varied,  Victorian terraces next to Georgian buildings next to roads full of huge houses.

First is my road. Dont look much but a bitch of a hill at the end of a long run or evening in the pub...

2nd pic is the house opposite ours, for those of you who watch daytime TV may recognize it from the series Doctor's who film there regularly.

Onto our local High Street. Like many UK towns its suffered in the last couple years and is full of charity shops and letting agents but is actually not a bad high street. Probably a dozen plus places to eat and drink, some of those being dreary old boozers but a good few nice spots, pics to follow.

Two standout local drinking establishments round here is The Plough..

20200105_132636.thumb.jpg.57410d883fd28ed779503c45f6ca6c0e.jpg

A very popular trendy spot that turns a good profit. A bit hipster and full of well off locals, but not a bad place. Saturday afternoon in here is like an Orslow/Redwing/Selvedge lookbook..

A better choice is The Junction, great crowd  good Bourbon selection ....

@Geeman I lived in Harborne for a year while I was a camera assistant on none other then Doctors and it was great. Nice pace of life especially as I was doing a minimum of 60 hours a week and on Friday we’d all drink up at the (if I remember correctly) Greenman pub. I saved up a lot of money but I was knackered all the time. The biggest highlight of the year was seeing the Black Keys live. Simple times.

My childhood neighbourhood east end of London. Today I decided to go fragrance shopping to central London using the central line from Bethnal Green station. Pic below just coming out of Oxford Circus station. And visiting liberty where they keep very high end fragrances, one of the other things I’m very passionate about.
