Hi Guys,

For those who find it easier, please drop your final submission pictures into this thread. Your participation in the full contest will still have to be verified in order for you final submission to be accepted.

Please ensure that you add the weight class to your posts for ease of judging.

Part I, Warehouse 800, 14,5 oz, midweight (according to the WH Website). (But I also have a jacket for the tux divsion). Love the denim and the 2 years in them have been fun. Part II will be the jacket.

Middleweight / tux

Had a lot of fun in this Warehouse jacket, by far the best denim purchase I've ever made. The jeans, not so much. Wore them very infrequent, as I fell out of love with them pretty quickly. The OW they went through stripped them of that crunchy rigid denim I love, and the hand sewn buttons were by far the worst detail I've seen on a pair of jeans. You can see in some of my photos how the fly is spreading open, as I only have the second from the top button left. I had to use a Samurai button I had laying around, as I was sick of stitching the buttons back on. But in the end, the jeans are like pyjamas, super comfy and I do like how the denim has turned out, just wish it wasn't OW.

Samurai S0500 17.5 months, 10 washes.

The jeans are now falling apart but will still continue to wear them until they disintegrate! I had a fun two years in them! Took loads of trips, various countries, field work, and tons of other shit. I started wearing them everyday for a while then gradually wore them less. Great pair!

Middleweight category.

Samurai S510xx 25oz —  Super Heavyweight

Ok Final Post — more extensive post on the dwc forum —– Love the way these ended up for me, very soft and comfortable even at 25+oz. I wore them approximately 18 months in total, 30+ washes, 2 separate repair sessions. They were my full time work jeans, 4-5 days week and frequently on the weekends as well. I had a hand in making approximately 80,000 gallons of cider while wearing these jeans. They have been to Japan twice, twice to Canada and once to Norway. Back at home I have visited 15 separate states while wearing them. Great Experience overall, loved sharing my time in these jeans with everyone and very much enjoyed getting a peek into all your lives!

Pronto x PBJ collab: 18oz Orange Brick Weft

My DWC forum submission name is Buckhum

Weight Class: Middleweight

I got my pair at Pronto's Denim Carnival 2014 started wearing these in July 2015. It has been 22 months + 8 washes + many blowouts later, I still haven't fade them to the fullest potential. This jeans has accompanied me on trips ranging from Thailand to across the USA and I'm thankful for the memories. Needless to say, I'll keep on rotating this pair on and off with my other pants until all the indigo has left the fabric. Hopefully I will accomplish many of life's milestone by then.

This is my submission for my Iron Heart 666SII in the Middleweight division. I've been wearing them for two years and I stopped counting days after I reached 600. They've been washed three times and soaked once. They have been with on everything including the birth of my first child.

The jeans has been holding together really good. The back pocket was really exposed with the wallet stretching the denim so it hade to repaired after 500 days. Also the crotch hade some minor repairing but otherwise they still have a lot of wearing left in them

I started being interested in fading denim when I noticed the fades of a poker chip that I hade forgot in my coin pocket. After that, I always put two poker chip in the coin pocket in every jeans that I wear. It took some time but now you can clearly see the ring.

These jeans have really started to come apart after 2 soaks and 5 washes.

Strange purplish/ blue hue i cannot explain.

Two years of wear and tear. It has been a very awarding journey. It has been fun following every pair in the competition and taking part of your lives.
I enjoy watching denim evolve and competitions like this one makes it possible to take part of that journey without having to wear the jeans myself.
It has also been extremely fun comparing my jeans and Enells pair at work. We wore the same model. Seeing how our jeans evolved was very satisfying.

I signed up with two pair of jeans for the DWC as I could not decide what pair to use.

IronHeart IH-666SII (Middleweight)
460 days of wear, 2 soaks & 10 machine washes.

IronHeart IH-666UHR (Super Heavyweight)
208 days of wear, 7 soaks & 1 machine wash.

Without any further explenation here are my final pictures. Sorry for the photo bomb.

nice fades @nizzel55, but what I'd really like to know is how many photos of these jeans you've posted over the past 2 years ;)

As the current DWC has drawn to a close there have been the inevitable questions from all over the cyberspace, which I occupy, as to whether there will be another contest for 2017 – 2019. Today I am pleased to make the announcement that there will be, and confirm a few details about what to expect.

The theme of the latest DWC will be “back to basics”, meaning we’re going to scrap everything from the previous contests and make this one as accessible to everyone as it possibly can be, this means…

Any brand or style of jeans can enter. There will be no weight categories, just one contest fits all. All entered jeans must have only 30 wears or less on day 1 of the contest. Speaking of day 1, the contest will begin on 01/11/17 and run for the standard 24 months to 01/11/19. The contest will be purely forum based, on both Superfuture and the Iron Heart forum only. Registration is open now, and will close 31/10/17. Registration fee for the contest will be a flat $20, payable via Paypal to denimworldchampionship@gmail.com . Upon registration you will be issued an entry number to validate your participation. The entry fee will be used to purchase prizes from our favourite brands and retailers for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Prizes will be announced as soon as possible after registration is complete. Once again we have something quite special planned with our friends at Iron Heart for contest jeans. Our judging panel is currently TBD.
So that is all for now, we’re looking forward to setting off on another denim journey with you all again soon.

      Regards,

      Mega

Warehouse Duck Digger 1001XX in size 34.
One wash. Worn once. Just a touch too big for me. Hot soaked once more to try to see if they would shrink more. They didn't. Arcs removed to Levi spec. Great looking and feeling pair of jeans. I'm buying a new pair in 33, so the 34 has gotta go. 17" across waist
      12" rise
