Just got a dead-stock pair of 1954ZXX, the date on the tag is 4309, so assuming 2009

Just a couple of things are throwing me off, first is the 1996 date on the flasher

The back of the waist button is blank

No pocket bag print

Everything else checks out on them and they smell old

Thoughts anyone, or does anyone still have a pair from this period to compare with mine?IMG_8197.thumb.jpeg.39e7daf92f5482db16e4d25a303bc0ae.jpegIMG_8201.thumb.jpeg.45678191d485598c02148e901c89e563.jpegIMG_8202.thumb.jpeg.429c7073b6184addf4e22cc3837ee39e.jpegIMG_8204.thumb.jpeg.b3e1c5356243cb10089d857282e7db79.jpegIMG_8200.thumb.jpeg.b31a934c6bdd2e1048e3d3d114b55f50.jpegIMG_8196.thumb.jpeg.4d695f0802d73a65318fef138a4c57a4.jpegIMG_8199.thumb.jpeg.e29f1f39a1cf7c0d0ae3db0d456657cb.jpegIMG_8203.thumb.jpeg.80c2c18f27331174a1cbb13cceebc01c.jpegIMG_8205.thumb.jpeg.cb3e16eb52ad911aabe08f16873fa145.jpeg

@bod both the Lvc 1955 model and the 1954 model use pocket flashers with the 1996 date on it - just looked through my denim labels box.

Also l have found a few of the earlier lvc pieces with blank top waist buttons so it's not necessarily a concern unless there's no wash tag.

My ‘55s of 2007 vintage, ready for an initial wash next week in anticipation of the summer...

@bod my 1955s from 2007 have a blank top button and as you can see above, the flasher says 1996, so hopefully that will set your mind at ease. They have no pocket bag print either.

I also have a 2009 pair of 55s in the stash (raw with tags) that I can pull out and check at some point.

The shirt is Levi’s vintage clothing , it’s called I think Sunset shirt, the one pocket is a pullover and two pocket is a button up. Light chambray, I bought one about 15 years ago, they’ve been available every few years.

LVC jeans now at 320 € at the German Levi's website (but hey, you can get them with 25% right now). That's really crazy

Ridiculously expensive for what they really are but l guess as long as peeps keep buying them....

I’d imagine the shrink-stretch factor will be similar to their Cone equivalents, so as long as your pair start at the same size as your US-made counterparts, you should be good.

Thanks Sir. They‘re a 1/2-1 size smaller compared to Cone. Do you think they‘ll stretch out 1“ in the waist while wearing?

I've had two pairs of MiJ LVC and the leg shrinking is nuts compared to cone denim, if you want a cuff an need over 31 inch leg  to do so, you've had it nowadays with MiJ

I’ve found MiJ LVC to be a little stubborn in getting full shrinkage, it’s taken at least 2-3 hot soaks compared to old cone pairs where I’d get it in one

I picked up a pair of used 47s from Ebay.

I've never had LVC before. These ones are made in Turkey so sadly not USA or Japan.

I'm a bit confused though as I though all LVC were STF but this measures exactly 34 inches inseam. Were these originally maybe a one-wash then or are they oversized and have shrank to their described label?

I believe these are from 2013.

They are VERY stretchy too that I had to double check they are 100% cotton...nice leg twist too

Turkish-made LVC were various washed versions rather than raw and for some reason, were sized a bit differently as far as I’m aware. I think the sanforized 1967 zip model also may have been manufactured there.
