  1. I did a bit of research, and it seems likely that Levi's purchased fabric for T-shirts in the 1950s rather than producing them themselves. Moreover, these T-shirts were comparatively simple and, in the interest of cost-effective production, weren't loop-wheeled (like T-shirts from Sears or Champion). So probably a good (authentic) reproduction of a simple and lower quality Tee for an outrageous price. I‘ve paid 16€ on a sale- that‘s fair.
  2. My question was actually about whether it was an accurate reproduction.
  3. I just bought a 1950s tee from LVC and I'm a bit confused about whether I like the quality and cut... What surprises me most, though, is that this T-shirt isn't loopwheeled—weren't most T-shirts from that era loopwheeled? Anyway, I got it cheap on sale, so I'm going to keep it (the T-shirt regularly costs €89!!!)
  4. Any love here for prewashed LVC? I really dig my japanese made 1947‘s. Sometimes it‘s just comfortable to jump in one of those pairs.
  5. …and here‘s my super secret tip fof cleaning red wing boots and leather generally: curd soap („Kernseife“). This soap cleans leather perfectly and contains no aggressive chemicals. It is „overfatted“ and cares all leather products. Highly recommended!
  6. Yup, a worn sole can cause bad accidents. I once slipped while entering a foot locker store (sic!) on a rainy day and fell flat on my ass 😅
  7. Ok. I never saw oiled leather so dried out. My 875‘s are still super smooth, no cracks or something (20 years!). But honestly, I never wear them in winter (obviously 875‘s aren‘t winter boots). and I clean and oil them twice a year. I was a bit sad that your pair went to the bin 😉
  8. …even RW‘s need a little bit of care.
  9. …and I‘ve ordered this uber-cool Pherrows Tee from Cultizm today:
  10. My 875‘s, nearly 20 years old. Still solid and comfy. My favourite boots, they‘re my friends in good and bad times. Cleaned today, ready for colder summer days. They‘ll get their 2nd resole this autumn.
  11. Whitesville 😍 one of the best tees by far!
  12. Hard to capture but I‘ve never had a jean hairy like this 54…and it seems to get more. Looks like a wool pant 🙂
  13. Thanks, yes it is. I hope it won‘t shrink too much- bought one size up.
