fuck my life, I just ordered a pair of 101's from and-japan. $248 shipped, cant beat that.

Thanks for the props guys! These jeans are going to be a big change up from what I was wearing for the past 2 years. Going from low rise slim straight fits to a high rise straight leg. The amount of space in the legs feels great though.

Thanks garden gnomes in space. Jealous that you picked up the 101's. I've been eyeing those as my next pair after my Strike Golds, but then I saw the D1546 at BiG for a price I couldn't pass up. Guess I'll wait till after the HWDC.

On another note, I wonder how this 21oz fabric will fade compared to the 15oz. Will it need tender loving and time like the 15oz or will it be fast and furious like some other 21oz fabrics (Iron Heart 21/23 and Samurai).

Opinions on sizing for the SDA 703 (Ladies')? TTS or will they stretch appreciably? Thanks!

Size up at least 2, seriously. They're low rise and cut very slim in the thighs. I have had them for about 3 months now and they have stretched a little in the waist, but not very much in the thighs. Good luck!

The embroidery marking the event for this special edition was paced on the inside pocket bag for the original limited edition from studio D'Artisan.

Take5, in typical HK-style (aka a bit more flashy), put it on the outside of the pocket bag. For my pair Take5 had it placed just like the original edition...

Wow, those look great. Along with domu's jeans on the last page. I had no idea SDA was so dark and contrasty, for some reason I thought they were grayer ala vintage Levis repro jeans but they seem more in line with Flat Head and Eternal's denim.

Cold Summer, I have Eternals, Flat Heads and SDAs. The darkness of denim is the only thing they have in common. Flat Heads and Eternals are coarse with pronounced vertical falling whilst SDA are smooth with no obvious texture or vertical falling. Of course, all 3 have great potential for fading but you'd have to work far harder for contrast on SDAs than the other 2.

For those who own 103s - does the back rise feel as low as the post-soak measurements make it look? I have never had the chance to try on a pair but it's pretty much the one thing holding me back.

I agree. I'm really in love with SDA's fade, but I fear that the 103's rise, thigh and inseam just won't work. I'll try to get on of the BIG collabs later this year.

Max, if you like SDAs but want a higher rise and bigger thigh than the 103, then you should be looking at the 101. I think Gordon acquired a pair with longer inseams for someone on here (details may be a few pages back on this thread).

I saw a sales thread about them (I assume you did too).

I have never encountered that model so far and my quick search on the internet lead me nowhere except to 3 sales thread of that pair in question. So I don't know ho "real" they are

do SDA's seem to get a higher than usual amount of leg twist? Every pair I have seen seems to have noticeably more than other non san'd denim. Or am I seeing things?

Indeed it was. Gordon knew there was a long inseam pair inbound so he kept them aside for me. Turned out to be a perfect 35" after shrinkage.

And leg twist on my 101's are almost a full 180 degrees on the left leg. The most of any pair i own.
