  6. I don’t want to upset you, but fixing such issues with the keys on your own is likely to be quite challenging, if not impossible. I recently encountered a problem with the keyboard on my new MacBook Air after a small amount of coffee spilled on it. The keys still worked, but they started making a suspicious crunching sound. The spacebar, in particular, began to stick, and when typing quickly, there were often no spaces between words. I tried removing the spacebar to clean underneath (there was indeed a hardened sticky drop), but I couldn’t reinstall the key properly. I managed to attach it somehow, but it only worked when pressed in the center and didn’t respond at the edges. I ended up taking it to an Apple service center, where they explained that removing and reinstalling keys is almost impossible due to the fragile construction, which is prone to damage. The only solution, which I ultimately opted for, was to replace the entire keyboard, which required partial disassembly of the laptop. Including labor, which took about three hours, the repair cost me around $120.

  7. In it's essence, it's something we all should support, there have been numerous instances where impressionable children have logged onto fb looking for support with their mental illness and the algorithms have bombarded them with images of self harm and directions to suicide sites which ends with the inevitable.. Zuk ain't going to do shit if it bites into his profits so the government has had to step in.. but being the government, the regulations are poorly thought out and ill conceived.. Tis why you're seeing that c**t Musk's online tirades directed at our PM because his profits margin will slip if people are not given the freedom to convince teenagers to take their own lives. ..and why he's financially supporting that other c**t Farage to spread his hate and division.. Yes @AlientoyWorkmachine 'regulatory capture'.. regulations are introduced which are disproportionate for small players so big players who can meet the costs of protecting themselves control future traffic. Hopefully LFGSS are overreacting and a simple disclaimer "This Site Does Not Tolerate ****, ****, and **** will suffice but it's not looking good at the mo..

  9. ^ They changed the style of switches and key mounts some time after the 2012 model. You can very much service the keyboards of the 2012 model at home (it’s the same model I have—the last of the great MacBooks, in a lot of ways—and I’ve needed to replace keys a few times). That said, I have no idea what might be going on with the ET scenario.

  10. @Sympathy-For-The-Denim I think, it was in 40s, that they switched from RHT to LHT. The Lee REAL VINTAGE COWBOY 101-B 1939 model is still RHT. The COWBOY 101 1945 one is LHT.

  11. Looks like TCB is also doing a lined version of the new Late 40s jacket with the same flannel lining used for the pockets of the jeans. Looks great - http://tcbjeans.com/2024/12/19/50461

  13. and I chopped mine off into shorts and turned the legs into a bucket hat They are lovely denim, the opposite to my Samurais... really soft and pliable, the Indigo had lots of depth, has faded well, would still wear them except i got old and fat. I got mine about 17 or 18 years ago. Its summer here now so I will be wearing the hat. Semi-active, that's me in general. Wish I had kept my EVISU we were gifted for doing the DD+1 traveling pants way back

  14. Sheesshhhh, that looks grim. I know a lot of communities have run to other services like Discord and whatnot, but from a philosophical standpoint I just hate the idea of having a community function at the whims of a large tech effort that can change anything at any point for any reason. Being part of an individual effort has its perils (see Denimbro), but that is the stuff where the internet is/was good. Once everything’s centralized under corporate efforts, as it mostly is already, it’s just gone to total shit IMO. This is really the last social internet venue I frequent for some of these reasons, it would suck to see it hampered by some misbegotten bill. Always felt like the enshittification of it all was brought about by tech but it seems that government could be the final nail. Cool cool cool. Nice teamwork between church and state.

  21. Here they are. Quite different to what is up on the yamane site now. The free tote bag I got with them has been well used, it’s been around the world and up and down NZ several times. Gotta go iron the brim of my hat so it’s safer to go outside.

  23. Bronson Mfg 1936 I am curios if they use cotton thread, otherwise a decent pair and who can resist these arcuates... they come in right hand rather than left hand denim. Can anyone tell, if Lee used left hand denim exclusively ?

  28. Yes, The OA and Lees were the only raw jeans. These Lee’s are from a thrift, a UK Brooklyn comfort repro and a 90s pair. The bag in the back you can see the top of is the Ultima Thule Tourist bag that I got at Hooisers along with some other Freewheelers pieces . Got a longsleeve tee at SDA and a Denime tee at Warehouse too.

  36. I picked up the FN-D111. I really like the wider fit of these jeans and how they don’t run super small esp compared to flat head jeans a few years back. The denim is closer to the deep indigo color of the pioneer denim. It crocks a lot more than the jeans I’ve worn the last few years. I’ve only worn them a week but I’ll be washing them soon.
