  2. Hey guys! New here, first post. Wanted to share my 50s that I've been wearing since October 2021. 33 washes, buncha repairs. They're at the stage where the thighs and knees seem to disintegrate more with every wash which doesn't bother me because I love patching them up. Thanks for lookin.

  4. Good evening everyone. I washed my tcb50s woolen jacket for 6 hours. And I sent it to the tcb factory for repair. Expectation and anxiety are crowded about how it will be repaired.

  6. Warehouse 1003XX, 2-3 summers of wear on a light-ish weight denim (feels like 12.5-13oz but I’m not sure). Real colour is quite a bright blue, in between the darker full length photos and the lighter close-ups.

  7. Indeed a nice color on that pair @cultpop 0217. You wear it well. never heard of indigo invitational, i probably wouldn’t go even when it was held around the corner. I always feel uncomfortable when I see pictures of events like that. I don’t know exactly why. meanwhile, here is a picture of my behind in my new pair of fulcount 0105 XX and an old lee western shirt, 5 euro fisherman hat, vans, while finally building up the fresh painted frame I made

  19. Good evening everyone. Kochi Prefecture in Japan is a bit chilly in the mornings and evenings, but it warmed up considerably during the day. When I bought my tcb50's liner jacket, I vowed to wear it to work without washing it for three years. Those three years have passed. It was worn out here and there and needed repair. I plan to wash it once and send it in for repair. And now Japan is the most beautiful season.

  21. It's been a while, but here are some findings on J86. The fabric is indeed a Gore-Tex, but from the Pyrad line. A bit water-resistant(ACR says it can withstand some rain), windproof, and yes, flame-resistant (A friend confirmed with E himself). Unfortunately, I still don't know what GTB stands for(we'll find out eventually). The silhouette is based on the Type II jacket, and the arms patterns come from Medieval European armor and pourpoint, especially the Grande Assiette (plate) pattern. The Grande Assiette comes with triangle patterns on the front and back. It is very clear on J86. On the back, ACRNM adds a line that goes all the way to the hem. Under the armpits, are extra triangle patterns, which is the modern take on extra room for movement. The patterns of the forearms are literally from gauntlets of armor. If you ever wonder why the chest pockets look like that, here's the answer. It's all about triangles. ACRNM even sacrificed the storage for this - they stitched the pocket entry to maintain the shape. The chest pocket cannot open fully. The most important thing I want to mention: the stitching on the front plate pattern is actually not continuous; the chest pocket breaks it (see above). No stitching underneath. Yet you may still see the pattern is complete because they manage to make the curve visually continuous. I can imagine how hard this is during production. Overall, J86 combines 3 different times in 3 dimensions: Now (fabric), 50s American workwear(silhouette), and Medieval(arm pattern). Triangle of Happiness PS. English is not my first language. I'm making a video for this but in Chinese. If you speak Chinese you might already watch my previous videos. If you don't, remember these are the most interesting parts so you won't miss a lot.

  32. 1001XX still going strong List of repairs now includes front left pocket bag + pocket opening, rear right pocket, right side of crotch (both panels), & lots of replaced stitching; next on the list will be front right pocket opening, rear left pocket, and button holes Saturation and contrast are about right, but the color balance is way off in most of the photos; they aren’t nearly so gray looking in person. The closest to true are the photos looking up the legs from the hems and the full back shot.

  39. Warehouse 800xx Self Edge edition, 9 months of wear, three washes (6 months, 8 months, 9 months). Worn since fall 2020. Probably my best fade ever. Combined with my chaotic Dad Lifestyle, this extremely reactive denim has aged rapidly, usually it takes well over a year for my jeans to get this faded (and damaged.) Tons of life left in these, but I need to get the knees darned/reinforced, have broken stitches fixed, the rear end reinforced (which is looking rather worn from me sitting around on my butt all day.) There is virtually no sign of wear on the crotch, though. Thanks to my skinny thighs, that’s rarely an issue for me. I really love these jeans, probably the best-fitting pair I've ever worn, wonderful denim, nice detailing, everything about these is just right. Now focusing on my 1001xx, which is around 6 months of wear. Guess I'll try to photograph those soon, too.

  42. I made Duke a little rack for his leatherworking tools today.. I drilled a plywood template for the holes.. it's easier to get the spacing right on the temp, rather than have numerous confusing lines on your oak. I cut a block of oak from a board and sanded it square.. put the template on top and drilled through the holes.. not all the way through, just a couple of inches down Used my guage to mark out a 15mm thickness Cut it off Sanded it flat.. Keeping the thread on topic, cuff of Warehouse 😎 Repeat I did the same thing from the bottom of the board (which is why i only drilled 2" deep) giving me 2x pieces of oak with a series of holes on the exact same centers and one piece of oak with no holes to form the base of the rack and laminated the bottom 2x pieces together ..this is only because when i look in the bottom of the holes.. i don't want to see the point left behind from the forstner bit Pfft.. so unprofessional.. says the guy who can't even focus^ his camera I wanted some wooden dowels to peg it together.. but i wanted them in a dark contrasting colour... huf!.. y'know that moment in your day when all you need a small perfectly round piece of honduras mahogany but it's been on the endangered species list since 2013?.. well fear not superdudes Double 0s Life Hacks #47 Cut some pieces of mahogany Y'know those people who say 'you can't fit a square peg in a round hole' ?.. well those people are fucking idiots Get a bit of metal with a hole in it and nip it up in the vice ..tap your little peg in ..tap it through with a drift punch, turn the metal upside down and hey presto! ..Mahogany dowels Using the oak off cuts.. i've bobbin'd out a couple of slots.. Im going for a mid-century kind of vibe ..started building it.. i'll hide that little rebate later, i french polished the internal parts before i put the top on so i wasn't french polishing through a narrow slot ..tapped my handmade pegs in.. now the labourious task of sanding out the marks from the machines.. ..french polished the outside and gave it a coat of wax ..and there you have it .. the hiden rebate
