Hello Uncle Karl! Great to have you onboard! Which size this time? W40???:D:D:D

no arcs of any sort this time :D:D:D
It's great to see you posting here and joining the community again.
Please do tell your JP friends to join on Sufu too. It's difficult to follow a contest on Instagram and all the conversation get lost in the comments. Here it's much better!
We look forward to welcome all JP friends on Sufu.

ciao!

I've never bought one wash jeans, silly question time....do they shrink anymore like unsanforized do for the first few washes?

Hello beautiful people of Sufu!

long time lurker, but finally had to the sufu crew.

Representing London, UK I’m going for size 36 in RAW, unhemmed.

props to Volvo and TCB for setting this up!

In my experience they will shrink slightly in all dimensions but stretch back out again except the inseam, which will probably just shrink by a half inch to an inch.

They don't seem to, no, going by my Full Count and Sugarcane that were one wash. Of course waist will stretch out typically an inch.

the size chart says the length will shrink by 7cm from raw -> o/w.  might be better off going with OW for those of us with length concerns

The reason i went ow, didnt want tcb to mess up my prewash/postwash inseam in raw ones.

I went one wash because gets most shrink out.
plus I wanted the right inseam and since I hate cuffs. Hahaha

I also went one wash, and it's because my washing machine loves to put creases in stiff denim. They will fade away as the denim fades eventually but it's still annoying. And I'm not down with not washing any more. My experience with Momotaro one-wash was that I didn't notice any shrinking, but that is different fabric too.

One thing I like about getting a new denim, it’s like “a box of chocolates”.  The uncertainties are like Ritalin for a denim ADD:biggrin:

Does anyone know if smaller jeans sizes (under 32) will have a 4-button fly instead of 5-button fly? i always dig that detail but i know my size 29 50s have a 5-button fly.

Suggestion:

I’m not sure my hem info is there, as well.  Maybe,  we can put size info next to each entrant to counter check, e.g.,

13. Brownmetallic (USA) W36L34 R

*R= rigid    **W= washed

@volvo240thebest Oh, no! Sorry, i didn’t mean it to be more work, nor be source of potential confusion... I guess, we can post individual size info on our initial post, at the start of the competition ... once we get our jawns.

A little 50s contest nostalgia as we're all feeling the excitement of the WWII contest coming on:
