Measurements taken with a sewing tape, garment laying flat, all pleats folded, not stretched. 

Note: I gave the sleeves a real good stretch before throwing it in the dryer, which could explain the lack of shrinkage compared to the body.

3sixteen have pretty much disappeared from sufu,  but I must admit I have a bit of nostalgia for them. I had a pair of their jeans back when R&H were an online store they were nice enough and I liked the run off stitching from the back pockets. Their shadow selvedge is a nice indigo/indigo option. 

No interest in their newer stuff, but I do own a pair of the double black jeans I wear occasionally.

Hell,  now I might just get a pair of their kibata denim jeans for nostalgia sake!

fwiw, the fit looks great on you and the fabric has worn in nicely. I have the same thing where I get bored with the smoother, more uniform denim but then I'll put them on or see someone wearing a worn in pair and I'm into them again.

..it's a 35yr old deadstock Silverstone 506xx repro from 1990

..according to 'denim legend'.. Silverstone (and subsequently Ground-Alls) went out of business because of the exacting standards of the perfectionist owners.. i don't know if this is true or denim-lore but they did go bankrupt producing an incredible repro during the golden age / largest denim-boom on the planet

..the very first cowhorn patch which has been oiled annually so it doesn't crack

..you'll not see another one of these this week, month, year.. probably ever

It'll have to wait.. i'm wearing a M11026, but my WH 506 work jacket is just rags held together with loose threads so at some point it'll have to go in the bin and i'll relegate the M11026 to work duties and start wearing the Silverstone

After months of debating, I picked up a TCB No.2 blouse a few weeks ago. Really happy with it. Between these and my Fullcount 0105ss', I'm really loving ~11.5oz denim...it's so comfortable and wearable.

I'm a bit of 506 nut as some of you may have guessed and while I wasn't short of jackets to work on, I'd had in mind a Slash Overalls one for a while and won a BNWT/raw one at auction (having previously been outbid on a WWII model). Seam puckering is pretty awesome after a soak, which is really Slash's thing. Fit is close to my platonic ideal for a 506- shorter body length than Freewheelers or SC 1945, right amount of dropped shoulder, sleeves are bang on, and its fitted but not as slim as my Neat Style/Denim Bridge (although it's a size larger than the Neat Style to be fair) - hoping it doesn't change much with subsequent washes.

Raw vs soaked

The white buttons stand out enough I think my co-workers might actually notice its a different jacket (think the last couple have all passed for being one and the same) 

Think I got a bit enthusiastic rinsing under the tap after soaking and got some staining from the patch... don't want to wash again yet so it'll stay for now

I recently saw a decently priced jacket in size 46, sadly the measurements were a bit small. I'd probably need to go up to 48.
There's another jacket up right now in size 46, but it's listed for 100k¥.

There's a size 38 jacket as well for 50,000 yen with around a 20" pit-to-pit if anyone is small enough to fit it and is interested. It's still not cheap, but better than 100k

Someone had asked about longer type 1 jackets.
This is one option.

For size 4 (L/XL) in a one/wash with shoulders 51cm and chest 59cm it has a back length of 71cm (vs. say a WH or FWs in 42 or 44 with around 61cm).
This is also offered for a very reasonable price of JPY 19,800.
The denim is 14oz selvedge, apparently all made/produced in Japan: Kurashiki, Okayama.

Current LVC 1953 type II trucker. XL tagged size 44. I have a pair of LVC US made Cone White Oak 1955s and the denim of the current Japanese denim on the 53 type II is very close to the dark fuzzy Cone denim on my LVC 1955 501s. 

I also really like the T back.
