My friends' LVC 47501 xx

Stopped wearing for a long time after I washed them the first time. . .

It's been about 1 Year and 3-4 Months worth of wear and 2 washes.

this point is discussed over and over for years now.if you use the search function you will find more than one answer.

isnt loosing indigo the point of wearing denim?

anyway,if your jeans are dirty,dont hesitate to wash them.

just make sure you dont use a detergent whith bleach.

those look awesome. you should try taking some photos in indirect sunlight. I bet you'd be able to see the wear a lot better.

Good to see another retailer selling LVC stuff in the city. Brooklyn Denim Co has a good selection of LVC stuff. Address is 85 N. 3rd St. A buddy of mine stopped by wearing his '44 501's going on three years unwashed.

I need to own that sunset shirt. It is bad ass. I love the tunic type shirts that LVC puts out. I have another sunset shirt released a couple seasons ago and the LVC bunkhouse (unwashed) and they are in high rotation.

Anybody know where it is made. The states or turkey?

It's way over priced at $75 but LVC did a nice job reproducing the cut and fit of the classic 40's t-shirt with the short sleeves and trim fit. The packaging is kinda cool too. Original American Underwear T-shirt... made in Portugal. LOL

Hello all.... Identification question. I have an old pair of Levis 684 Orange tab jean shorts. (can't believe I wore these! I am 50 +, so they have seen some days. Question is RE: Orange tab. Registered trademark only on tab. (both sides) No Levis. Any one have info as to why? All 684's I have viewed have Levis on tab.

If they can get their jeans made in the US, they should have no problem having their "American" underwear t's made in the States as well. I was all set to snatch up a couple of these when I first heard about them, but the price tag and the Euro origin turned me off. I went with some Velva-Sheen pocket t's instead (2 for $70 with similar cut/construction and made in the States).

Made in Portugal doesn't mean something bad, of course not. Portugal got fine manufacturers, working for other good companies (Nudie, Fred Perry, Hugo Boss to name a few).

The very limited Japanese edition of the 501z (the forebearer of the 551z) from years ago had a gripper zipper, does anybody know what zipper they use on the current lvc 501z?

Do you mean the 54s? I was looking at a pair of 54s from the 2010 line yesterday which had a Talon zipper. Hope that helps!

I love my 333s. They are some of my favorite LVCs. The denim is just so cool on these and so different than any other denim I've yet to see on any other LVC. $125 I think you should jump on them. If they had my size I would grab another pair at that price.

Like runormal said, the new '54 501 has a Talon zipper, and also the new 551zxx(!). I hadn't noticed that LVC was making a new zxx until I started looking for zippers. They both look really nice.

I think this ad sums up what the "lighter blues" line was all about. I kind of like these jeans- they certainly are different from most of LVC's offerings, and I kind of dig the baggy '50s dad cut.
