Happy NEw Year!

It's more like a later version of the 1901; no belt loops,wide-set, big pockets. But the fabric is different, around this time it also got heavier. Yes, I know I need to update!

I hope you downsized, as they're made a couple of inches over. Where did you buy them?

Oki Ni are showing pretty good prices and seem to have most of the LVC range in stock:

cheers paul.i bought a 32.as long as they are not cut as wide as the 201 i should be fine.

thomas is right,i followed his link at endclothing.

Yes Happy New year and I hope everyone had a merry one cuz now it's time to pony up to Uncle Sam -- those 1099's will soon be knocking at our doors...lol!!

Okay Paul, if the fabric got heavier around 1915, what then is the actual weight on the LVC 1915's? I've seen them advertised as 9, 10 and 11oz. raw. Again, like on all LVC models, the weight is hardley ever mentioned and when it is, it varies widely from one vendor to another.

Does anyone have some info about the 1983 501? Is the fit rather baggy or tapered to the leg etc? Compared to a '47?

Thanks

1983 is quite loose fitting with a very straight leg. Nowhere near to a '47, quite close to a '44.

Yo can get copper rivets and a corresponding punch from Tandy Leather, they're in the US and UK too, here's a link (you may want to give them a call for the right size to order), heck get some stuff to make your own perfect belt while you're at it :

thanks Doug for the link.. I did see those before but I don't thing they make a 3/8 version. 1/2 is the smallest they make and I think that would be too big for jeans...

Then if that doesn't work, this place should definately have the right size... I'd contact them and tell 'em you're looking for the closest thing possible to a levis jean rivet in copper, if you are. Don't forget to get the punch too (furrel or whatever it's called). Please post what you end up with, I'd like to see it myself.:

This place also has copper burrs (rivet washers), I think the #13 size is 3/8" [but varify that before purchasing]. Not sure if they carry the posts but they should, if not use the posts that tandy sell :

if a sz 36 regular 501xx is snug on me, will a '67 505 in 38 fit ok?

That should be fine.

My 'true' size is usually 31 or 32, and I have a sz 32 '67 505 which fits a little snug.

Definitely go TTS or even sized up.

Great jeans tho.
