    Levi's Vintage Clothing

I joined sufu in 2009 and started, in my teens, with a pair of 1947s. I still remember the day I received them—great times. I had a 55 after that as well, which wore beautifully and a 78. I tried a few Japanese brands for a while but that didn't last too long. I haven't postet since 2014 as I wasn't really keen on buying anything new and just wore these jeans. Last week I thought it might be a nice idea to start the new year with a new pair of denim and bought a 44. It's only today that I read the stuff about the White Oak plant having shut down. What a sad story! I remember back in the 2009/2010 era many people sniffing at LVC's offerings because they thought them to be not vintage-correct, slubby enough... Now probably quite a few wish they'd had the chance to wear a pair... I always like the subtle quality of their denim. My 2009 1947 was the best of them all though. It shrank down after the first soak and basically stayed there after that. Many later 47s were stretchier. It was great while it lasted. I remember the excitement about the 78s or the new version of the 1915 denim (iirc). I hope LVC will carry on though. They produce beautiful pieces, not only denim.

with LVC being sold on levis.com now...does anyone have any info or even inside knowledge regarding their health? I guess a bit more attention couldn't hurt, even though most "outside" buyers probably will prefer washed stuff. But as long as it works for them and their raw stuff is availablr, I am happy. Sounding like a fanboy here, but maybe that's what I am. I love the japanese brands, but I think LVC's collections of recent years are very nice. don't know if it has been postet here - Spring Summer '15 http://levisvintageclothing.prosite.com/120119/3974342/all/ss15-bread-butter-berlin-de
  3. Two 1947 501s in size 36/34 still available, unworn, not tried on, new with tags and stored nicely with other raw unworn denim. 1978 501 sz. 36/34 still available as well. Having a preference for shorter inseams these days and trying to save up for some non denim purchases I hope they find a new home.

They are true to tagged size, measuring 36 inches in the waist (waistbands not aligned) and 34 in length. They are NWT. I haven't even tried them on yet.

Anyone interested in a 78 501 size 36/34? They are from the first run with the "new" 78 denim from one or two years back.

    Warehouse

As promised, a few pictures of my WH 800, taken on their arrival. Open the pictures in a new tab/window with a right click to view them in a slightly bigger size. Excuse the filters.

Fedex is really fast, but in my case they sent a separate letter for customs a few days after the denim arrived.
