Looking at grabbing a Neal Chambray in the white pepper color.. I could probably fit a 17 but I am wondering if I should go with the 17.5 so I can wash it without worry. Any advice is appreciated.

It depends if you’re buying the unwashed or washed versions - unwashed version will shrink … the approximate size p-2-p for a size 17 will end up about 57cm

The chambray fabric they use for their shirts seems to have a bit of give to it so, as long as you're not sizing way too small, you should be ok with a fairly close fit.

@shredwin_206 Working in your workwear heritage jeans!? Utter blasphemy. /s

That's one of the things I most appreciate with FW denim, they can take an absolute beating.

s601xx 45

601xx 51

506xx 46-47

Gonna do another shipment after that to complete the tuxes for the 44-45-46 (can't decide on the blanket lined or not) and the 47.

Then I reckon I'll be good for a few years... Unless FW does a 37 getup!

This jacket is just stunning! Anyone tempted?  Cant say I’ve seen many jackets, or any at all for that matter, with a 100% alpaca lining like this.

Is it just me, or is the 1943 601xx larger in the waist than the other models by about a whole size?

Must be you unless there’s some weird measurement been taken - here’s mine at 33 waist … all 33 actual except the S601 which is about half an inch smaller and the skinny 663s which are closer to a 32 inch

Duke, good god man, have you compiled a searchable catalog of fw? Now I have seen 2, haha. Def a rare bird, generally “alpaca” linings I’ve come across have been some kind of blend.  Is the shell alpaca too or just the pile? Do you know the name of this piece? Thanks duke!

The Winter Flying Jacket #1431031  (there’s a couple of versions), but that’s a double face tweed wool shell …

Thanks for that great overview.

When was the last time FW released the 663?
Would you say, that the 663 is.60s cut comparable to say the Resolute 710?
I saw, that they had an ecru and black version.

Which of these is closest to the LVC 1947?

You’re welcome

a) 2014/15

b) I’ve never owned resolute jeans - @beautiful_FrEaK is probably the man to ask

c) the 663 was issued in ivory, black and vintage denim

d) you would have assumed LVC1947 501 = FW1947 601 … but I’d guess they won’t be so who knows?

Ah - well that makes some sense to me … but my limitation is I know FW and not much more.

The whole point of the graphic was to give folk a benchmark they could use to buy Freewheelers, or for them to take away and compare with denim size charts that they are familiar with
