Pardon the quality of the photos. They are screenshots from video. So yesterday around noon my dogs started freaking out. I thought a coyote perhaps, but when I looked out the window here's what I saw... After a moment of disbelief, thinking where did they come from & how did they get here, I went outside to take a look. Apparently I seemed untrustworthy & they wandered off to the far end of our property. Luckily our fences are decent, but they really didn't seem like they wanted to get out. So after making some calls 911, & getting a referral to Animal Control, someone came around & checked the ear tags. Not long after the owner showed up. He asked if I would mind driving his truck & trailer while he went in on horseback to bring them out. Would I mind?? I've been waiting all my life for an adventure like this!! Here's the rancher guiding the cows out to the road. Initially I had thought the plan would be to load them in the trailer right there but apparently cow behaviour requires a more complicated procedure. This consisted of getting the cows onto a neighboring property where there is a corral. The white car contained Mrs CSL, coming home from work btw. On first attempt rather than going to the right, the cows veered off to the left into the wrong gateway which luckily was closed. After this I was instructed to bring the truck ahead of the desired entryway & park in a position that would guide the cows in. The second attempt was successful the three cows were herded a ways back on to that property to a corral. The next operation was to get the cows into a smaller corral & back the trailer up to that gate, accurately so they animals couldn't get tangled in any gaps around the trailer. Once this was done, the rancher shoo'd the cows into the trailer, and then loaded his horse. Then back to Chez CSL to drop me off & we were done. Kinda blew my day but it was a fun adventure & I learned a few things about cows.... And I came home to find my Fullcount 30th anniversary jacket had arrived, so a good day all around. Picked this up on Yahoo for my partner and I’m mega jealous No idea when it’s from; I don’t recognize the buttons from any of my M-series Lee’pro jeans. Thoughts / references? I don’t recognize the denim itself, either, but that’s no surprise. The liner feels like cotton / poly (oh well), and it’s done proper, built as it’s own almost-jacket and just connected to the denim at the waist, collar, front plackets, cuffs—no shared seams on the body or sleeves21 points

Aaaaannnndddd they're done. Still gotta wash them to get rid of anything from the mill, but they're done. The waistband went much easier this time around. Decided to baste it in place and that made a world of difference (last two pics). I had far less problems getting the needle to grab the inside edge. Went with tucked loops again. Also pleased with how easily my zig zag machine did bartacks on the loops. I think this Janome might run smoother than my 201. He also wanted 7 loops instead of the standard 5 because he likes how it keeps his belt in place better. I'll update with fit pics in a couple weeks after his birthday. Things went really well on this pair though. I wasn't able to use my compensating foot because I realized the needle bar nicks it slightly and I don't want to mess anything up on my Singer. So I had to do most of the topstitching by lining the edge up with the presser foot toe. It was a good lesson in sewing straight and patience, but I think it made me a better sewist because of it.20 points

Some of you will think this is the most illegal thing to do but i think they turned out great. Long story short, i rarely ever wore these tcb 50s since they are too big and i have another pair of raw's that i'm fading. Since there are no light wash selvedge jeans i tought why not try with these since i dont use them. I tried 4 cups of bleach in a bathtub for 3h and it did absolutely nothing so i ended up pouring 2L of bleach in there and did that two times. Time will tell how much damage that did. But i will wear these more now.19 points

Solid black Buffalos. I’ve had these since 2016 but wore them sparingly as I kept them for slightly smarter wear. More recently I’ve started wearing them regularly to the point where they need a crotch repair. They’re a bit darker and less grey in real life than my iPhone photos show. You can also see how Ande’s lockstitch hemming technique enables strong roping.18 points
