I've contacted Simone and Word of Mouth has it, that WoM would be interested in doing a contest. I would talk about possibilities first. If there is enough interest9 points

Okay, I will create a pre contest thread where we can gather possible contestants and possible ideas and see where this will take us.4 points

Thanks mate, yeah l mentioned to him not to change the colours (l hate modern tekky filters) - so he went full manual and just clicked a couple of F stops. Turned out OK. Will use him again for future poses, especially now he will be moving back in with me in the next month. Hey it's only been 15 years since he last lived with me. I am soo chuffed ☺️4 points

A bit late here, I haven't worn these in quite some time (which is evident from the fold creases). Not sure why I stopped wearing them honestly.4 points

Interested! 40s or 30s cuts with good sized rises and volume would be cool3 points

@Dr_Heech can you send him round to @Maynard Friedman 's to get some WAYWT pics?3 points

Thanks Shredders! Yes l wanted to take some flat-lays with some close ups of the denim and interesting details but it became too dark after my 'photoshoot'. Will definitely try for some when the opportunity presents itself. The Denim is indeed interesting. It's a mix of different dyed threads, synthetic indigo and natural indigo on the warp and weft. Apparently it's supposed to represent the 9oz denim which LS&Co were using up until the mid 1920s (probably 1927) before they switched to the 10oz weight which they used up until the war model.3 points

Intentional pose Martin, l was channeling my inner Empire Stores. Would have shown you the 'look at my watch' or 'point to something in the distance whilst smiling' poses, but those were in the outakes 😁3 points

Looks good Charlie and he’s caught the sunset on those (sandstone?) walls very nicely. The second photo is a proper 1980s catalogue pose. Straight outta Freemans!3 points

I’m in depending on price (€300+ might be out of my range, for now, sadly)2 points

Same as above, 5 pockets and belt loops are a must for me, else flexible and a bit price dependant.2 points
-
Might be interested depending on the details, measurements and timing. I think a '42 with crotch rivet, no cinch and denim pocket bags would be kinda cool.2 points

A week in Sarajevo… incoming double post… do look away if it’s too many pics! Such a wondeful vibrant place, steeped in good and bad history… sure the multi-religions, multi-ethnicities, multi-cultures would have lived, and live, much more harmoniously if it wasn’t for toxic politics that sadly persists everywhere today Our digs right next to the Latin Bridge Bullet holes on the walls from the 1993-95 war and Seige of Sarajevo, lasting 1,425 days The old town It wasn’t me! It was to prove denim was involved… the site where Gavrilo Princip shot Franz Ferdinand which kicked off WW12 points

Sorry for the long silence- personal and work life have been extremely busy. Reopening the Stores is going to be later than I'd hoped, aiming for end of September but it may spill over into early October. However, AW24 production is coming through nicely, and going to be a really good one. I'm in the UK at the moment taking care of that, and tidying up some personal things. An early customer, Steven Ramm, contacted me recently about finding a new pair of 129s to replace the pair that he bought a decade ago. He's now the owner of some Mars Black dyed ones, here are his 10 year old logwoods: "I have a new digital back for my Hasselblad 500 c/m and this was its first outing, so I was just getting to grips with it. Maybe that's why the shot of the front of the jeans isn't sharp! Not really sure how that happened!" The front shot's my favourite 🙂2 points

Some quick snaps of my Warehouse 1922 501XX jeans (1914 'belt loop model) and the 1927 506XX blouse after a wash. The jeans have had their second wash after about a year or so of actual wear. The blouse/jacket has had its first wash only after about 6 months of actual wear. Click on the image twice for clarity. Not sure why the images turned out such a lighter blue, just taken them outside under cloud. Will ask the Mrs to take a fit pic when she's down later in the week so may bring out the depth of the denim more(?) These were my first Warehouse items, really loving this unique denim and its characteristics but it does seem to fade faster than any denim l've previously owned. [edit] Don't understand why the first 2 images are on their side as l haven't changed anything about them. They are all standard photos taken one after the other. Fkin sufu😠2 points

Great tux! Need some better shots of the jacket in good lighting. The denim looks very interesting.1 point

Thank you! I'm extremely satisfied how both of these came out. The jacket I was excited about the most. But the SBG's came out really nice as well.1 point

Oh really... I thought unboxing was taking over from boxing1 point

I heard they’re going to have a denim-fading event in the next Olympics, at the expense of boxing.1 point

Went with something different from chinos and denim. Just came in today. Present to me for the weight loss. Phigvel canvas painter pants in off white color. Buttons are pretty cool. They fit kind of baggy but that’s what Phigvel is known for in their carpenter pants offerings. Can’t fit cellphone in side carpenter pocket so only pens/pencils can fit for now. Size 3.1 point

Thank you! and indeed! These are already out there, the second set of Elephant Ear backpacks, satchels, and pouches- these in dyed canvas for SS24. They came out beautifully. But since you mention it, one of the things bubbling away at the moment is a considerable expansion of this project, into a full new brand designed and produced by me and my good friend (and ex-student from a long time ago), Robert Newman of Middle Distance. Working sits outside our own brands, and is looking really exciting- it's a coming together of my work with Tender and Rob's with Middle Distance and at technical and street-focussed places including Massimo Osti Studio, Stone Island, Maharishi and Supreme. More to come over the next few months, we're in fairly early stages, but there's a little more to see at @working.clothing1 point

It was a lost weekend in a hut in Hathersage, luckily not double pneumonia in a single room… A top escape for me and the lad in the Peak district Walking in the great outdoors, staring into meadows while drinking morning coffee, making friends with the sons of stags, listening to streams trickling, swimming in the local lido, sticking to a caveman diet of meat, fruit and veg and chilling away from it all Walked up Stanage Edge and Bamford Edge. At one point, I thought I heard a rumbling down below as if someone was in the drains and then a cool bike flashed past… we were deep in OO Soul country so who knows if it was him or not… Importantly there was denim on the trip… tatsunosuke military trousers and Freewheelers 1930s set-up1 point
