@Cornelius_ Please message it if you wouldn’t mind

I was able to get in touch with him and he is mailing out the pair next week. I am having a hard time believing this is real. He said he was getting a bunch of people pretending to be me to try to snag them. Thanks again for everyone who gave me the heads up. Happy new year to everyone except my imposters.

That's a shame. I actually thought it was a joke. Glad you contacted him.

I feel like most of my recent posts have been asking about using the dryer...so here’s another one. Does anyone have experience with putting their black seed denim in the dryer? I’ve had LVCs shrink up quite a bit in the dryer on low heat so I’m wondering if the black seed will be similar. I know this stuff is loomstate so “similar” shrinkage will be a relative concept here but I’m just wondering if consistent dryer usage yields crazy amounts of shrinkage.

I'm just gonna call it a blessing in disguise that I woke up too late to get them... Looking at it that way makes me feel less shit. I guess I didn't really need them, and I didn't need to spend close to 500 AUD! On a more positive note, good job to all those that could get a pair, and hope it has been a pleasant New Year!

FYI, look out for water temperature on the Memorial jeans. I used extra hot to get max shrinkage and it took off all the red ink on the patch.

thnx for the heads up on that.

On that topic - does anyone know of a method to preserve the ink on leather patches to preserve it during washings? I've had some patches that loose the ink right away, and some that lasts much longer. I don think, however, that some leather treatments, like Obenauf's Leather Oil, can make the ink far less durable. Perhaps the oil somehow disolves the ink and makes it less permanent?

I use Bick 4 leather conditioner on all of my patches and while i've only washed them once my KS1001s still have all the ink on the patch. I apply it every so often and apply a generous amount once the patch is dry after washing to help keep it supple. It definitely helps on jeans with thick leather patches.
