These do look nice, but I was hoping for a pair of 01s.

Haha me too! The new pairs definitely look cool, but desperately want a pair of 01s!  My 02s are treating me well for now

The pics aren't great... but the Amoskeag repro denim surely is 😊... roll on the jacket and the jeans 😉

Pics 1-3 indoors with the light on... 4-6 outdoors in poor light

I took a size 44 rather than opt for (or try my sizing luck with) a snugger fit... so it's pretty voluminous, with many pockets (like CSL has opined already) and the storage space of a modest backpack... I like!!

Congrats on the acquisition, MJF9!

I'll have to post a denim close-up of mine. Wondering if it's different fabric?

@MJF9, looks great! Would love to see it with an Oxford and colorful Shetland. Give a bright, contrasted background in both color and texture.

looks great @MJF9! so much rizz. there was a long discussion on a thread many moons ago about vest sizing with the consensus that it should be one size smaller than yr shirt size (p2p) since the p2p on a vest is measured lower than on shirts. but i would beg to differ with these types of vest, sorry, sleeveless outing coat! like the og filson hunting vest and the rising sun outdoor vest based on it, i think they look way more sigma sized up. there's an old rising sun catalogue with one of the rugged models dressed in a ridiculously oversized vest (while carrying a lantern inside a fake disused mine) and he slayed the house down heavy leather boots!

I really want to give these a go, but the singular back pocket being located on the right hand side (while historically accurate) would be a difficult adjustment for me to make.
I'm left handed and always keep my wallet in my back left pocket. Maybe they can make a lefty version for me. :laugh2:

and the ‘sinister’ folk will be happy.

Back in the day they’d just slap my wrist until I started using the correct pocket.

having been in the roy denimbro tour, i can attest that the single back pocket is a deet best consigned to the dustbin of jawnz history. i kept reaching for the other pocket and im not even left-handed!

Seems cool. Not something I could personally ever pull off. Hate suspender hardware and definitely need two rear pockets. Cool repro either way.
