So I completely forgot to take pre-soak measurements cause I was such in a rush to soak them that I only really know that the inseam was 34.5" cause that is what I had it hemmed to. I wore them for an hour or so last night after they completely dried. Here is a comparison from BiG's pre soak to my post soak.

tagged size 33

w: 34" > 33"

fr: 11.5" > 11"

br:15" > 14.75"

t: 12.5" > 12"

k 9.25" > 8.75"

lo: 8" > 8"

i: 34.5" > 33"

I also tried on a pair of Lot 13 tagged 32 but I was afraid they would shrink to be too tight.Maybe BiG hasn't updated their measurements for the new Lot 14 and online is from Lot 13. From what I remember people have said that 710 continually shrink so I am looking forward to a bit more overall shrinkage so have a more fitted pair. I took some fit pics but they aren't the best.

^^Not too tight- Great fit! Keep them..

stop being a panzy.

Agreed. I wore my 18oz sams, and actually ate shit from kids at school for wearing denim.. You know what I said, screw you, if I want to wear my denim in 100 degree weather I will! (a little thing called dedication ;))

Really nice update pics. Just perfect fading structure just at the right places!!!

back in the fall, i posted a comparison of my LVC 47s and 710s at 200 days. after those photos were taken, both pairs went into the wash and the eternal contest started. i decided to treat my 811s the same way to see how they compared. the 47s and 710s got a few wears here and there over the past 8 months, and now all 3 pairs have lined up: initial soaks, second soak at 133 days wear, washed at 200 days, worn 10 days after. 210 days / 7 months on each pair.

these photos, like the last set, were taken midday under overcast sky (no adjustments):

(L to R: LVC, 710, 811)

aside from possible differences in activity levels (may have hiked / biked / skated a little more in some pairs than others), the only difference is the 811s were hand washed with bronners and the other two were washed together in a machine with detergent.

you can clearly see in the photos that the LVC are lightest and 811s darkest, which seems contrary to popular opinions on here. granted, the LVCs were probably lighter when raw than the 811s, but it's still plain to see they are not particularly "slow faders" as people call them. in the eternal contest thread, a lot of people have been saying that these are fading fast... i think that is deceptive because they have faded quite a bit and signs of fading started early, but the denim is dyed so deeply that they are still far darker than the other pairs.

hope you all enjoyed this little study. i'll see if i can get some fit pics...

I debated about waiting to pick up a pair of the 24oz but I couldn't wait anymore. I also tried on a pair of 0500xx which had some unique denim to them. It was a hard choice between the two but my lady said she liked the denim more on the 710xx. She thought all the extra slubs coming out of the 0500xx were mistakes. :o

anybody has fit pic for S510xx upsize one?

here's a pic of Felix's pair of S510XX19oz (AFAIK). It's one of the first 19oz versions which had contrast arcs back then.

He sized up 2. But keep in mind that the pair were made bigger and shrank TO tag size

the pair you are eyeing won't be that baggy (I assume)
