Here's the late 4 month update pictures. They're technically 4.5 month pics though.

The color is pretty much true in all the pics, it's a little lighter in real life as I had to take these in a somewhat dark room.

This backpocket needs some help!

The yellow stitching is coming off, I can poke my finger through the denim!

I'm still looking for some denim scraps to patch up the hole, and the yellow stitching is also coming off!

i presoaked my sams(sa-t510) for 2 hours but the jeans is still stiff as hell. Should i soak it somemore or just deal with it?

I've soaked my 710s twice in hot water for 1.5-2 hours each and each time they could stand up by themselves.

Most people soak to shrink their jeans, not to soften them up. I'd probably do another soak just to make sure most of the shrinkage is done...then I'd just deal with it and wear them stiff as they are.

well, many people want them to be stiff so they give better fades.

but if you want them softer, give them a gentle machine wash. and the tumble dryer should make them soft too

bummer. my top button hole is about to give after close to 2.5 years. i wear a belt 100% of the time though, so I guess it's a non-issue.

i just bought a new pair of jeans to start on after my 710s, which in comparison, are super soft now. once you wear them out and wash them a handful of times, they get pretty soft, but still thick and heavy.

Go for another hot soak if you want more shrinkage, seems a little baggy in upper thigh, but besides that the fit looks good IMO

Yeah, I felt it was a little too much for my aesthetics. The issue is that the waist is very snug right now so I am having second thoughts on another soak. Is spot soaking a bad idea?

Foreword: not an expert, but the waist will stretch out after a week or so. And I did a really hot 2nd soak on my skulls for everything besides the waist, and I never had an issue.

I'm not sure about once it gets to that point, but if they're ABOUT to give out a tailor can reinforce button holes really quickly
