Thanks, those are all my partners jeans. It took me a while to get him out of Levi’s and into these but now he’s thrashing them all in high rotation.
my jeans these days are black and black homemade and wrangler all my more interesting ones are just hanging out waiting for me to love them again .. apart from these circleAbrand ones which are one of my favourite things

Here’s a little series of Freewheelers Lot601XX - I’ll add them as separate posts so as not to Broark the thread

Sorry I don’t have the hi-res versions anymore. Some unilateral decision making scuppered that. However, the colours are fairly representative as are the contrasts

1947 Lot 1 #1012001 - i.e. they are non-wash from 2010

Nice to see all the denims compared, it can be hard to spot differences between them when seeing online photos of them new/unworn.
Still thinking about getting a pair of the 46's. Just saw a lightly used pair of the 1939's on Yahoo in a size 30, not too often that you see those.

@Broark To be honest, and I’ve said this to others, the denim is pretty much the same across the range. It evolved from the bootleggers version when they went back to examining the yarns of original items. They tweak it now and then but the biggest difference is usually the dyeing process. So bottom line is you need to see them side by side.

The 1939’s are a rare as hen’s teeth, I’ve never seen any for sale (used or new) in a few years.

Thought I would post the progress on a pair of 5000XX that I’ve been wearing off and on for a few years. I really brought these into rotation this past October, and they’ve essentially been my around the house and yard work jeans all winter. I had these tapered at railcar a few years ago and they did a fantastic job. This is the later denim which I think was Pima cotton.
