Does anybody else have problem with the zipfly on lvc 505 ´67. It has a tendency to slip down a little bit all the time?

This may sound pretty dumb, but I've been taught to make sure that you should always flip your zipper down (so it points down) to "lock" it in place so it doesn't slide down. I had a problem with a pair of jeans but making sure I flipped it downwards everytime i put them on/went to the bathroom etc solved the problem.

I bought a sugar cane garrison belt last week, in the natural colour. It came with a small yellow tag with 'Caution' and some japanese writing on it. Can anyone who owns the belt translate for me ? I can post a pic, but my camera phone blurs it so ill need to get my hands on a better camera.

Maybe the opposite of the "Caution" tag that Levi's put on their raw jeans? Saying that it would be liable to staining? Just a guess. If you can post a picture I will do my best to try and make sense of it or, even better, someone who can read Japanese properly might be able to help :o

Anyone know some slim fitting light weight denim? The japanese ones are too heavy for what i'm looking for this summer. I'll still wear my pbjs, but i'd prefer something a little less leg sweat inducing.

I was thinking apc new cures or cures

Levis 511

Ande Whall Grifters (if he does another small run)

Nudie slim jims (although i'm not a huge fan of their stitching or denim color)

John Bull SC003 or 007 (they're sold out on BiG and earth market. anyone know where i could find more?)

Any others or advice on obtaining some john bulls or grifters or some other slim lighter weight jeans?

sammy 500s are higher than 811s from the measurements i've seen.

Has anyone ever tried attaching belt loops to 1901~1922 model 501 repros (or the real if you have em haha)? Did it work? Theres some early 501 repros I want but I dont wanna wear suspenders.

Attatching belt loops to jeans is meant to be difficult.

http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=24607 this thread briefly mentions making belt loops.

I am thinking of getting a pair of the Eternals 811. I currently own a pair pbj xxx 05 and samurai S0505XX. I am curious to how the Eternals are going to fit compared to these two modles. I have looked on various threads and still not really sure as to the fit ... I am just looking for a solid fitted jean ...

811s are very similair to the S0505XX. The only difference that I see is that 811's do not taper from the knee down (they're straight leg).

Samurai S710XX Size Chart (same fit as the discontinued S0505XX)

Eternal 811 Size Chart

Size down 1 if you want a tight fit, or get your regular size for a slim fit. They'll feel tight at first (really only at the waist, unless you have large thighs), but they do stretch out nicely. Or just get your S0505XX size if you're satisfied with how those fit you.

i have a pair of apc new cures, love the fit extremely. however, they're so tight and raw, biking in them is out of the question. is there a pair of stretch denim that comes in a dark indigo, and has that good of a cut? thanks for your help.

btw - i already own cheap mondays and want something else, and in a freakish size of 28 x 36

is shrink fit the same as raw?

Also is this a good deal?

Do they make fake 501s?

Also, I tried searchng first already.

STF means raw and unsanforised--hence when you wash it the denim shrinks.

i'm not sure it's a good deal, unless you're in australia.

you have any idea about the difference between this and the 1947 LVC? and where I could grab a 1947?

also should I size up a lot for the shrink to fit, or is it like nudie dry and I should go w/ the same size?

http://www.denimexpress.com/levi-501-shrink-to-fit-jeans.html

You probably can't order anything from them because you're in canada, but they have sizing recommendations. You should be able to find them at Levis retailers, or Levi's stores.
