I agree SC belt is nice but in defense of Tanner belts the "bulge" is an easy fix, just move the strap holder (for a lack of a better name) to the closer to the buckle instead of in between the snaps. I hope this helps & makes sense.

sorry newbie question, if i hot soak a pair of stf jeans, will the inseam shrink as well? will a 32 shrink to a 30?

inseam will shrink. how much varies but a good rule of thumb is 2 inches

you can pull a bit but you'll never get the initial length back on a STF pair

Obviously raw denim shrinks after its first soak, but does it shrink when it gets wet, or does it shrink as it drys?

Also, does it stretch back out?

1. Sugarcane Garrison belt? Pretty happy with mine, no bulge, pretty nice and soft leather...

re1:I checked out the SC belt on BIG site, it's indeed very nice and clean, i may consider if i cant find any comparable cheaper alternatives...btw how to size these? i dont currently wear a belt..so nothing to measure...;( im a 29 in PBJ 007, 28 in 19cm, 30 in SD-106, so i think my waist is abt 30.

re2: id say i like the look of roy boot alot, i like simple toe design. But is context the only place selling them? i rly want to try them on with my jeans before buying.

Rule of thumb is to buy your belt 2 sizes bigger than my TTS denim measurements. For example I wear a TTS 34 so I got a 36 w/ Tanner. Never failed me. Kalpa, I provided a link below for the belt I have , mine is older but my guess is there structurally the same. The buckle is removable it has 2 snaps. When I got mine the "strap holder" was in between the 2 snaps. I found that unsnapping it & moving it towards the buckle solved the "bulge problem". Also after a week or so it goes away on its own. As for the Roy boot, I believe they are an exclusive for Context. I wouldn't be surprised though if other retailers might carry them or Alden make a similiar ones due to their popularity . Hoped that helped.

i bought some of those unbranded denim(n&f sub-brand), and i was wondering if i should presoak them before i have them hemmed? It seems as if it would make sense because i don't want them to shrink to much after i hem them, but i also heard they were sanforized..so they shouldn't shrink to much.

What do you guys think?

soak them before hemming, it wont hurt. they will shrink abt 1 inch.

^thanks, i took a look into warehouse. sda, mccoys and sams and found most of them that in my waist (30) have abt 8 inch leg opening, which is too wide for my taste. is that a norm for LHT/leepro? guess PBJ becomes my only bet..

Whats the difference between One Wash and the regular that doesnt say one wash? with these skulls, pure blue japans , and denims. i dont understand but the measurements are a bit different?

^one-wash means that jeans have been washed once (i think also thrown in the dryer) so most shrinkage had been done. if u buy the one-wash version, u can start wearing em right away, while if you buy the RAW version, it's best to soak them to get rid of some shrinkage before start wearing. basically one-wash is done to help sizing correctly. pls add if i omitted anything..

Well, what do you think? Would you prefer to have the fun of soaking the jeans, getting your bath blue, deciding the water temperature, maybe giving them just a quick soak so you keep some of that crisp, new feel? Or would you like the convenience of just putting your jeans on without worrying about how much they will shrink in future?

There's no right way, it's simply what you fancy.

the most prefer raw to take control of the shrinkage which will occur with unsanforized denim.

if you check the OW measurements you know what the raw will be like after soaking/washing.

Eternal 811 - Could someone describe this cut?

I've been wearing Skull 5010xx for awhile now and while I like the straight and narrow cut, I would like something that will give me a little more mobility.

How would one size for the Eternal 811 raws? I wear a 27 in the Skulls, can I get away with a 28 in the Eternals?

I think hot/cold means washes in hot & rinses in cold, I had one in my old apt. like that & that how I remember it. Hope that helps.
