i'm pretty sure this doesn't need its own thread..

just wondering if anyone of you know off the top of your head, other jeans that have a similar cut to the Nudie Regular Ralfs, or Alfs, whatever they are now? I'm not that crazy into the skinny leg thing, and kinda like the idea of a slight bootcut.

So yeah, just wondering if any other manufacturers who also do dry/raw denim have a cut that's similar to the RR's. Anything from Evisu possibly?

cheers,

daniel

They'll seem too small at first, but they stretch like crazy...even in the thighs.

They're not considerably thicker or more durable than nudies.

Hi, I have some levis 527s I just bought, but unfortunately, they are too big for me, how can I make the leg-hole smaller, and not so wide, how do I wash it in the washer? basically I wanna know how to make my jeans smaller so they dont look so baggy on me, thankssss

to shrink your jeans, you can:

1. put it in the washer on hot

2. #1 and put it in the dryer on hot.

3. put it in a tub of hot water (hot soak)

4. get them tapered (professionally or amateurly get the jeans sewn slimmer)

My question is regarding TAILORING. I have a few pairs of jeans that I wouldnt mind being a little slimmer at the leg and was wondering if this is something that a tailoring worker can do fairly easily?

Whats the risk with it if they fuck things up?

Anyone ever used tailoring on there denim before?

Thanks.

Its possible...but you don't want to screw up ur selvage line..make sure to point it out so they use the other side..

A tailor would actually prefer taking them in from the selvage line, since its basically just one thread..while on the other side of the leg he would have to work a whole lot more...

Since following gimme's advice, I hot washed my F380s and the wash produced some leg twist, so I assume that it shrank even more after the previous hot soaks. The fit has improved, but the seat is still a bit baggy for my taste.

I did order SDA 203s though (didn't go for the 103s since it was cheaper and I still intend to wear my F380s) and they just arrived. The fit is great! Almost exactly what I was looking for. Since I heard it was sanforised, I sized down 1 and this is where my question starts.

For sizing down 1, the waist is still pretty comfortable, in fact, the waist is still slightly big, nothing significant enough to affect the current fit, but its noticeable. The inseam is also longer than I thought. So I want to confirm that the 203s are sanforised, and if it isn't, should I soak it anyway to get the small amount of shrinkage out of the way before I start wearing it?

Sorry to hear that you're still not happy with your 380's (leg twist is awesome btw...I hope it doesn't bother you). The only thing left that you can try to shrink them is to throw them in the dryer...not sure if you want to do that or not. Kiya may have some other advice for you as the FH expert.

The 2XX series from SDA is sanforized, 14oz. denim, so they shouldn't shrink drastically in the wash. That being said, you don't really have much to lose by throwing them in a hot wash either...it will get the 3% or so out of the way, and maybe you'll luck out get more (like some of Evisu's sanforized denim allegedly shrink much more than other san. denims, maybe this will be similar). Personally, I would never get a pair of jeans hemmed until they were washed once, just in case.

Ok didn't know where exactly to post this so figured this would be cool. I went thrifting today and found these Levi's 36x34 for 1.50 but there was something that attracted me to them. I knew i couldnt fit them cuz I usually wear a 33 or 34 waist but figured theyd atleast be good for their material (patching etc.) I got home and washed them and decided to try em on for kicks and found they fit extremely well. I really just needed help identifying what the fuck these are.

Orange tabs from the 80's or 90's. Paul T could probably help you if you want specifics (check through the Levi's tags). They look cool...but I don't think you found any priceless. ;)

kool thanks.. not priceless but the fit is perfect for me i love them.
