Might as well add this here. My pocket flap shape is different. Not an expert, but it certainly appears vintage.

Not sure if this is the right place for this. A buddy has a bunch of scrap fabrics from an estate sale. Some of it is selvedge. I’m assuming the red line is Levi’s, but can anyone ID the green and yellow one?

So... bumping on old favourite thread with an old favourite thread :blink2:

20 years old in December, this Stereophonics t-shirt has been there and come back, on more than one occasion. Bought when l went to see them in the millennium stadium in Cardiff in 2002. The only 'band' tee l bought that l went to see ever, apart from the Waterboys waay back in '88.

Great quality shirt which is still a regular wearer.

Sure some of you guys have even older tees that you can't let go of... ? If so, let's see 'em!

Ive just been having a rummage around for rucky's to take on holiday and found a few pairs of vintage 90's era Stussy sunglasses in the pockets

Early 90s

Mid 90s

Both cases were padded foam but hydrolysis has turned the PU to powder

Found this online and can unfortunately not get any more pics. Can any of you date this type 3 solely on the patch?

IIRC, care tags didn't become a thing until the 70s so around then would my guess. Someone probably know when they came about specifically. They still made good jackets in the 70s imo.

@Facini cheers.

Yeah, 68-83 for that type of tag I believe. That’s ok I guess but I would jump on that jacket in a sec If it was of the earlier years. 80’s still don’t feel vintage for me, even if it is nowadays.

From what I've seen, i'd probably guess that this jacket falls in the earlier part of that age range - newer labels seem more inconsistent somehow - different types and such.

There is for sure a difference in denim and also fit, but if i had a hole in my collection and a, say, '78 jacket came up in the right size and price - I'd jump for it anyway. I really do love the way these jackets fit. From the 557 to the later 70505-0217s. None of the more contemporary jackets (post 83 and repro) that I've tried have nailed the old Type III fit without going for the good ol' "Modernization" of making it longer in the body...

If you are in the market for a Late 69/71 big E in a 42ish size, i could probably help you out, though. I think I've outgrown mine.

Janesville Clothing fireman's jacket. Great heavy canvas (probably waxed) with heavy lining. Corduroy collar and toggle clasps. Also came with a bonus mouse nest in the left sleeve.
