Anyone got a pair of 66xx type? I'm torn on getting a pair but worried they may be too slim (especially around the knee)

The lower thigh/knee for me was uncomfortable for the first few days. Once stretched though it's not a problem

By the way those denimes look good. After wearing tapered for a while it must feel weird with a wider hem. I think a cuff would look better though

It certainly does! If you get used to a tapered cut,  other cuts look and feel wide. And if you wore a wider cut for a while, the tapered cut feels constriciting. Man is a creature of habit...

Worn a couple of months, handwashed twice

 

waist: 36

front rise: 10,5

back rise: 14,75

thigh: 12,75

knee: 9

leg opening: 8

inseam: 34,5

Mine are the one washed version. If I have the choice I always go one washed.

Anyway, here are the measurements for a size 33 if it helps.

Waist 16 1/2

FR 12 1/4

BR 15 7/8

Thigh 12 1/2

LO 7 1/2

Hemmed to 33

Well, after a bit more than two weeks in my 66XX, I would say that's probably my favorites ones so far. The feeling on the denim is simply amazing (a bit hairy and smooth), they stretched fairly in top area. I've just had to hand-wash them softly as, during those weeks, they received lots of boozes and other alcohols... But hopefully, they didn't loose that much indigo (will post pictures once they will be dry).

My 66xx that I found at a seconhandshop two years ago for cheap, barely used. I have noticed that the stitching is actually not really holding up as I wished but the denim fabric is soo nice. Great jeans, I wish another deal like this came soon..

This weekend, my friend to whom I gave my old Denime 66XX came over to my place. So I had the chance to see them again and take pics.

 

It's a nice feeling to see some great denim worn by others (in real life)

Just picked up these from trawling through 2nd hand shops in Japan.

Denime XX, managed to get into the 31's. Thankfully I've lost some weight recently, but they was a bit of a struggle at first. I like the way these look on me.

I had a question about sizing on the new 66 denim, these look to be vanity sized unless I'm mistaken. So I'm looking for a pair to end up around 31-32 inches in the waist. Would I be safe getting the size 30 or 31?

Denime 1951 XX

started wearing these jan 2008 for the Denime contest and they've been in irregular rotation since, about 5 washes/soaks in total i think.
