There's definitely something going on with the "curvy" stitching on the coin pockets of true vintage Levi's and on serious repo's like Warehouse and C.S.F....

From the csf_official Instagram page...

Probably it was quicker to sew them that way and it wouldn't be visible since it's covered

Yeah , made by Yoshiaki

they look terrible though ( IMO ) , the buttons and those arcs are ugly

I was just going to post about this the other day and mention how seemingly ugly these are.
Don't really see the appeal at all.

Nice puckering and roping on the '47 model. I love the crispy and gritty feeling of freshly washed denim :)

And pre-soak fit pics of the new WW2 pair.

These look great. Looking forward to post soak pics bF. Would be interested in before and after measurements if you have time.

Thanks folks!
The WW2 denim is quite stretchy compared to the '47 denim but I still didn't want to risk another too small pair by getting a size 37 (which Konaka-san said he could do) so they are a tad looser than my '47 now but nothing some future washes will solve ;)

@beautiful_FrEaK, the only reason I can surmise is the folding knife in my waist band created a friction point. The unusual thing is that this the only pair of pants I have ever owned that this has happened.

So this arrived on Monday but - following much anticipation - just got my hands on it tonight

S406xxx M-46 First Half WW2 Denim

Been on the edge a while but very glad I took the plunge... as awesome as everyone says!

Rapidly taken pre-wash (what's with the crazy lighting, no desire to hang around and retake) and post wash pics

Post wash pics are with jacket damp

Looking forward to inspecting the details tomorrow... loving the T back...

Yes, a T Back Type 1 would definitely be on my list as well, such an iconic piece of denim.
