I have the 60's and love them.  I bought them from denimio, and they were able to measure for me.  Just use their chat feature.

They gave me the same measurements as on their site - which they said they took from TCB (the wrong ones) What’s the cut of the 60’s like? Is it the same as a LVC 66? Cheers

I have the 50s jeans. I have had them hemmed to a 28 inch leg and they seem to hang a bit funny to the side, do they hang better after time? How long does it take? Does this make sense?  cheers lee

You mean they hang off your legs a bit like they're flared?

My first pair didn't, the second one does. I don't mind much actually, I kinda like it.

I remember the first pair fit changed a lot in the first month's, the fabric was a bit stiff and after a couple washes the denim draped better.

Hey all, I'm having some trouble figuring out what size to get the s40's in and was wondering if I could get some advice. I wear a 31 in 50s straight (probably could've squeezed into a 30 and stretched it).

I’d go with a 30 then

the s40s starts smaller than the 50s but with wear the waist stretches to the same waist of the 50s in the same size. at least that's what happened with my pair.

top 50s, bottom s40s, pic is bad but you get the idea.

Sounds good, thanks you two. Ordered a 30 just now. Seeing those 50s on your instagram is what initially put me on to TCB

Which jeans do you usually wear? cuts brands etc.

I wear Roy straight leg style (RS04 etc.) – I have other LVC jeans but the Roy is closest to what I'm after. Thanks for the recommendations. Where can I purchase the 50's in raw?

BTW: how do you size the 50s? – I'm looking at a 1 wash pair of 36 and apparently the waist measures 33.5!!

tcb stretches to size. Eg 50s size 36 will stretch to be 36 once worn.

I can send you the photo proof of it ; )

Hmm. I got a pair of 50s 1 wash from Tempo, size 36 & the waist was pretty close to 36.

I bought some 50s years ago from Denimio but I sold them unworn as the hem was too wide for my liking. They were tagged size 32 but the waist measured 34” in their raw state.

true that. both 50s pairs I have started a smidgen under 36 (around 35,5) and stretched to 36. they could be stretched a bit more up to 36,5, but no more than that.

Morning all,
Question about the cat boy jackets. They are listed  are listed as one wash on the TCB shoplift site but American Classics has stock listed as rigid, shrink to fit. Anyone know how much shrinkage to expect from the rigid jacket please?

it's very likely that American Classics has some raw jackets while Tcb doesn't.

I know that tcb doesn't sell anymore the raw 50s but still makes them for American Classics.

Yes I think that's right, different stock for sure. Just wondering how much the rigid ones will shrink?

Can’t you just reference the TCB one-wash size chart and assume that’ll be max shrinkage due to industrial washing methods?

Ah yes, that makes sense!

Does beg the question, how much shrinkage does an industrial washing process create compared with my bath tube home washing...? Guess there is only one way to find out

Yep, also interested in the knee measurements, @julian-wolf.

@JDelage Where would you normally measure the knee? Some particular distance down from the crotch seam? That’s not something I’m used to looking at

The leg opening measures just under 9 1/2”

I've seen the knee measured either 13" or 14" down from the crotch seam.

With mister Volvo being swamped with work I'll share the workload of the organizing the tour.

To our great delight we've successfully talked Inoue-san into another SUFUxTCB adventure. Following the TCB 50's contest, the introduction of the ranchman shirt and the upcoming TCB 20's contest in 2018, we're now also doing a world tour - starring a prototype of the very jean we will rock in the next TCB contest. Inoue and his crew is basing the jeans off of a vintage pair of Levi's from the 1920's he got a hold of back in april and will also rock a completely new denim.

For the tour we'll have a size 32 for our disposal. Measurements will hopefully be sorted out.

We're kicking off the tour at TCB's very own factory in Kurashiki where I will pick up the jeans during the last week of july.

The current roster of TCB rockstars:
      Bobbo (Sweden)
      Paul T (UK)
      Red Dragon (Indonesia)
      NYC surfer (USA)
      JaredLee (USA)
      Ooms (Indonesia)
      Foxy (Germany/Russia)
      Ironhorse (Taiwan)
      Articulate (USA)
      Jigsaw (Indonesia)
      Holio Cornolio (UK)
      Mandel9000 (NOR)

      Subs:
      Reverendglasseye
      Louisbosco
      FeloniusMonk

The roster is full for now, although it won't hurt having a few subs!

The original and what we're looking forward to:
