Did you end up sizing up with the new pair?

No, went with a 32 again haha. I ended up losing a bit of weight recently after a period of gaining through lifting, so I think I've hit the max size I'll ever be haha

Speaking of losing and gaining weight - and I am not generally one to focus on this stuff at all, given how problematic it can be for people - but Inoue San is looking slender!!

60s jeans (one-washed) with probably ~6-8 months’ worth of total wear.  I picked these up in 2019 but totally miscalculated the rise at the time, and really only started wearing them the last year now that they fit me better.

I love the watch pocket “lightning bolt” that I remember @501XX4EVER pointing out about 1960s Levi’s.

Came across this channel of a Japanese gentleman wearing the Late S40s tux, some serious fade inspiration here. He said that he washed for the first time around five months of wear, then about twice a month after that, currently around 10 months of wear. To me, this kind of fade is pretty much ideal. But since my jeans and jacket fit me more loosely, I doubt mine will look this dramatic even if I had the same wash routine.

Nice video.

Would have been even better to see how the tux would have looked worn by him and whether the fit is wider or tighter.

Here's a video from a couple months ago where he wears them:

He fills out the jeans and jacket pretty good, leading to the nice whiskering of his pair.

Ever since I started wearing straight fit jeans, pretty much all of my pairs have a very relaxed fit in the top block, since for my waist size of 31-32 I have skinny thighs and a not-large rear end. Still, I quite like my fit, which is very comfortable and similar to how early 40s jeans were worn in photos from the period by Russell Lee, etc.
