Sproul is just a name for a distressed finished model I guess .

I have stretched jeans out an inch on the waist and leg after washing . Probably get 36" to 35" from 34" after soaking/washing . I am sure there are other threads on this subject however .

First the easy part, hit KFC, Popeye's, and Dell Taco for a few months and you won't have to worry about being an odd size any more.

I have 07 55s from Cultizm and I sized up for shrinkage, I should not have done that. The inseam shrank close to 4 inches, but the waist hardly shrank at all, maybe an inch. That was with a hot wash and hot dry, I've since washed them one more time and there didn't seem to be additional shrinkage, I didn't measure but they felt same.

I've read here that the 47s are cut slimmer so my plan might have worked with them, but I don't have any first hand experience with 47s.

Here's my sizing experience with 47s:

When raw they're an inch smaller in the waist than tagged size. They shrink 2 inches after a few washes, but they stretch back out an inch after a few days of wear.

For example, my 36 waist measured 35 raw. It goes down to about 33 after a wash and stretches back out to 34 after a week of wear.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help with some 1947 501s. What size should i get if i want them a little loose? My waist size is 30. I want them to be the fit of a RRDS or APC Rescue, somewhere along those lines. Would a 34 suit my needs? And also how should i soak them to get rid of the shrinkage? Thanks in advance.

P.S. here are jeans if it is any help.

These are mostly referred on here as the 1890's so I'll stick with that, eventhough the tag said "First Blue Jeans" that is just a title LVC gave them as these do not resemble the oldest jeans (the Nevada's) found so far.

They're from one of the earlier LVC collections when exactly I won't be able to tell you unfortunatly.

-Not Valancia street made, back of buttons says 822, made in the USA

-Synthetic indigo

-2 soaks when raw to get shrinkage out of the way, 1 soak at about 3 months and machine washed with detergent at 6 months

Wallet in backpocket, cellphone in left front pocket, bike keys in watchpocket, house keys in right front pocket.

I've worn these for 6 months straight, and after that in rotation with other jeans.

They are currently at nearly 7 months wear but I haven't worn them since for 2 months now as I'm focussing on another pair and I also don't know when I'll seriously be able to put some wear in these again, so I decided to take updated pics of these and post them up as I believe they turned out quite interesting so far.

It also shows the considerable amount of wear that occured in the month after the first proper wash.

I'd love to wear these to death, but so many jeans, so little time....

First time I posted about them was here (wich was also my very first post btw).

I did some construction work in these at around 3 months, after wich I posted them again, here.

On to the pics, bear with me, there are alot!
