I do cuffs on the jeans that that need them and not on the ones that don't. I usually need a cuff until they've fully shrunk and some I have are long.

Nice choice on the buttons Roy. The two I have on the back of my loons are metal two hole ones.

Barneys in Las Vegas is has 2 black 30's version LVC leather jackets under $400. Not sure the exact price but they had a L and XL. I was told they just did 2nd markdowns. No raw LVC to be have though. Just some worn in models and some shirts.

OK, here goes - with cold washing only for their entire lifespan, what's the likely minimum I could keep the inseam shrinkage to on a pair of 37s?

I would say 1 1/2 to 2 inches. But over the first year of real wear, let's say two-three cold washes, you might be able to get slightly less... especially if you stretch the legs while drying.

Roy , is the prototype made in Turkey like the regular jacket?

If so, what is the quality like mate ?

^Yes, made in Turkey.

I compared it just now with the detail shots on the Meadow web store, and the distressing appears identical. The quality if fine- you'd never know it was a sample item. Even all of the tags are the same.

I have quite a few prototypes from LVC, and they all seem to be of the same quality as released versions, generally with the same washes/distressing, occasionally in a different color or fabric from the models that got released.

They are usually identical - altho often the ones on the web store use photos of the samples. However for a couple of items - the recent Barnyard and Spurbites - I think the production models didn't look as good as the samples.

i would be curious to know what models everyone would like to see released and or brought back. personally i'd like to see a 1953 501 or a 1971 501 (both have been made by LVC/Japan.) and the 1963 551zxx is overdue for re-release. great model i've yet to track down in my size at a reasonable price.

I'd like to see a1953 501 and maybe a 1922 501 both with all the right details and proper weight denim.

What confuses me is that the denim is sanforized and at the same time, it's pre-shrunk. Doesn't sanforized mean that the denim doesn't shrink???

i think pre-shrunk is a marketing term to alert buyers they were different from STF

If someone were to see pre-shrunk, then they would think the jeans won't shrink. But.. in reality they are sanforized..

that's right. sanforized still shrinks up to 3%. with that said pretty much any garments that aren't pre-washed to death will shrink some. best example of that is t-shirts (the kind meant to be undergarments) they shrink pretty good after a dozen washes, any brand i ever bought did.

Nope, I was going to but they were already sold out of that size at ln-cc so I went tts. By the way ln-cc were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

The 1953 501 has the iconic 50's shape, but still retains the leather two horse patch.
