So I had some better clothes on today than cut offs and sneakers to try on that jumper again. I actually liked the way it looked and picked it up. The details on this thing are amazing, selvedge everywhere and I haven't seen these rivets in real life before. I usually don't like pre-distressed pieces but since roy6 told me it's a rare piece I figured why not. I was just hoping someone would be able to tell me when it's from. I know its LVC Europe, just wasn't sure of their dating system, thanks!

the jumper is from april 2000. see the 04/00 bottom right of the tag, that is the date code.

That code works on all production years?

The production date moves around on the tag over the years. Last couple years its on the bottom row of numbers in the middle under the digits in parenthesis. On 555 tags it was usually on the lower right.

That code works on all production years?

^what Roy said. sometimes the production date is very obvious if you know what to look for. other years are more obscure and difficult to decipher.

Freezie -- once the '66's begin to fade, they do so quickly. I've been wearing mine quite a bit lately, and they're beginning to fit perfectly and fade beautifully.

Apparently that's how some shirts were made, for men, in the 1930s? Agree, though-- not my bag. But if I wore it, I suppose it would be layered under something else.

trying to steer the wife in the direction of some decent denim... anyone got any thoughts on the LVC women's stuff? these seem to be well priced as a cheapish way in, but there's hardly any info about them...

if your wife is interested in a 60s flare, go on ebay and look for a pair of deadstock 646s. That's what my wife wears pretty much exclusively.

As far as I know, LVC hasn't put out a women's line in a couple years (that changes this fall), so I'm not sure what the offering from YOOX is.

My wife also rocks some '47s from time to time...looks good.

Hehe, you've got good eyes Ale...The 37's 10 oz.denim is supersoft, yeah. I've starched the stacks with strong hairspray (hate me!) and...it seems to work.

I've tried this, but spray starch doesn't work as well as hairspray. Try it. And btw, it's the only time I've tried this, but you won't get good results from 37's any other way I'm afraid (at least on the stacks).
