Merz B. Tees are not anywhere close to WH. polyester threads vs 100% cotton Merz B. Cotton pilling is very annoying. Looks crappy after just a few washes. (Standards 50s tee) when I take my tees off I tend to pull more on one side than the other. Most people probably do the same. I found this out by looking at my Merz b. Shirt. It’s 5cm longer on the side I pull more on. Does not shrink back like other loopwheeled shirts. one shirt came with two heavy heavy crease lines right in front. I told customer service and they ignored me. Said It’ll go away after a few washes. A year on the lines are still there and customer service doesn’t give a f*KC after having made a sale. construction is on par with H&M or Uniqlo maybe. Nothing special. Strong plastic threads. Unimpressive fabric that distorts and doesn’t shrink back… the plastic threads are enough to keep me away from Merz but they do have a good story I give them that. Like moleskin and their hemmingway BS story2 points

Some promising crinkle development there b_F, something I think both Denime and Warehouse are noted for. Has the colour disparity on the front and back panels evened itself out yet?1 point

@tooth he is alive and kicking. His style changed (back to) more to 80s metalheads but he is still well and fades denim.1 point

I've spent the past 6 years—the entirety of the time that I've been active on this forum—working towards a degree in physics (experimental AMO, for anyone up on the lingo). That stage of life is finally coming to a close. My dissertation isn't quite finished, but the commencement ceremony for the past year's worth of graduates took place last week, and I was close enough to finishing that I chose to participate. Since Duke's already let the cat out of the bag, I figure it's only right that I follow up with photos. feat. cheap rental gown & hat, TFH shirt, Tightly Stitched belt, Roy jeans, MOTO shoes also feat. my good buddy Nick, w/ Indigofera shirt, Warehouse shirt, Roy jeans, Nick's boots1 point

Picked up a few of the YM Factory tees, very happy with the fit / fabric / construction. They are made by rebuilt.jp, he uses vegetable dyes to dye the threads and also uses silk thread on the neck opening as it is more flexible than some other alternatives. These might dethrone Warehouse as my favorite t-shirts.1 point
