Shame on me, this is my first update! I *LOVE* these jeans, they're flattering and comfortable. I have missed one single day since the beginning, I was sick and stayed in bed most of that day. So I was to'ing and fro'ing on whether to get a size 42 or a 44 in the Powerwear heavyweight sweatshirt (#2434007) I have FW jackets in size 44 and size 46, so logic says a size 44 in sweatshirts should be good However, for me, the sweatshirt measurements tend to look, or be, generous... though it depends how you want them to fit Also, I'd previously got the Lot #2334011 sweatshirt in size 44 without consulting anyone and it's anomalously massive, even after washing it at 90C and sing the dryer (yes, that's another story) Seiichiro had the idea of sending me both 42 and 44 to help me choose; and asked me to post the comparison (top service from Seiichiro, as always btw). I've never posted on IG so here we go on Sufu I know other Sufu'ers get more shrink from their wash/dry methods, so my measurements are a guide to be used with caution The pictures are pre-wash 42, pre-wash 44 and then washed 42 Anyhow, happy with the size 42 and it seems the right one for me in Freewheelers sweatshirts Size 42 pre-wash / raw Size 44 pre-wash / raw Measurements chart - measurements can vary depending who is taking them - main take-away here is the relative change Ta-da... settled on size 42 And then the bad prince got locked up in the dungeon... and they all lived happily ever after. Dropped by my long-time favorite pub yesterday—Schmidt’s, in Albany, for anyone in the area—for a couple pints, plus a pizza (not pictured) from another favorite joint over on that side of town. Always a great feel to the place, which doubles as a tobacconist (or maybe it doubles as a pub). They keep fresh Old Speckled Hen on tap, my consistent go-to—but also usually have one or two good Belgians, often from my old favorite Quebecois brewery Unibroue. The pictured table is incidentally where I wrote a good chunk of my thesis, a couple of years ago now.7 points

I have a lot of loop wheeled t-shirts which I enjoy, but the favorite one is the one from Deluxeware. The fabric is soft and feels a bit brushed, it is a good mid-weight fabric. The construction and the collar holds up nicely. The fit is good, sleeves a bit on the shorter side and the length coming down below the belt, which I prefer. The colour is most true in the picture were I'm wearing it - the black is still really black despite a lot of wear and washes. The sun is out, so it looks more gray on the other pics. I'll deffinetely be getting more stuff from deluxeware3 points

@lyraman - that 2017 production date suggests you have a pair of the 1880 repros mentioned in this blog by @Paul T, which are dyed from natural indigo produced in the USA. Paul has posted pictures of his own pair throughout this thread too.2 points

Ever since watching To Live and Die in LA a few weeks ago and traveling to New Orleans, my interest in cowboy boots was piqued. I ended up finding a pair of 1984 Lucchese San Antonio’s in black Cherry (miraculously in my size - 13B) and in good condition for a good price. The color is most accurate in the outdoor pics2 points

to me these look similar to my pair 1880 pair which had been dropped 2016ish, it was made from the very last Natural Indigo Denim recreated by Cone Mills right before they shut there factory down for good... we would need to have more pics of the the inside labels though to verify.1 point

Been struggling to find something that I’m happy with fit wise recently, but am very pleased with the 1944 DD-S1003XX. Mostly because they’re not DSB which I’ve decided I don’t really like all that much. I’m turning into @Alec Leamas though and am very upset that I have to get rid of this lovely factory chain stitch…1 point

Worked on my car the other day. Changed the heater matrix which was blocked ,causing the reservoir to boil coolant and spray it out via the cap/valve. Also caused the heating to stop working properly. Dealerships charges £1000+ for this work and remove the whole dashboard, but the internet was convinced you could just removed the glove box housing and do it yourself. So I did. For about £90. Complete fiddle! Really awkward. Got it done eventually and everything works. It was freezing though. Zero Degrees Celsius! And my knees hurt. I’m pretty sure I’ve stretched the knees on my WOMJ’s excessively. Test drive in the hills to check for leaks. Never again 😄 Also cut up a tree that came down in Storm Éowyn1 point

How are y'all feeling about the way you currently dress?... back when i was 20, i'd consider myself cutting edge.. i dressed like a cutting edge 20yr old, none of my clothing was easy to obtain or bought without careful consideration (i certainly wasn't shopping at Top Man) by the time i was 30, i dressed like a cutting edge 30yr old.. ie- 1940s Japanese repro sweatshirt, 1940s Japanese repro denim and old timey, handmade 40s era repro boots.. again, nothing one could buy on the highstreet. Coming here 15yrs ago, we were as cool as fuck but i've been stuck in this fucking loop of a rut for what feels like forever... we've all got old and the cool sufu style of days gone by is now just considered dad-wear The answer used to be 'just buy more stuff' which i did, but i was always bought stuff in our same 'repro' style which by now was already becoming pretty washed.. my journey through fashions was always organic and linked to my lifestyle.. when i was a young teenager, i would buy jeans from Bankrupt clothing, the brand was often irrelevant, as long as they fitted and looked dope, followed by (amongst others) >X for fashion / going out rave club wear, >skateboard / BMX jeans, Girl, Droors, Silas ect.. >vintage Levi's.. >LVC and finally JP repros all within a 15yr time span.. then my journey through fashion just stopped. JP repros are everything i ever want in a pair of jeans, they look great and fit my criteria perfectly.. i'm not looking for anything else but my god am i fucking bored! ! ! I looked at waywt probably 3 times last year and zero times this.. some handsome dude in a well worn pair of repros, a nicely fitted sweatshirt and a scuffed up pair of boots would make me go all gooey inside.. now it just makes me sigh.. We can never move on from this.. the brands are feeling it too with their imagined 1940, 41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56,57,58,59 and so on, repros.. they've milked the style for everything it's worth.. i can count on one hand how many threads i currently read and 3 of them have nothing to do with clothing.. so is this it now for me.., i'll still be wearing this same old 'stuck in 2009' shit when i'm 60? You might say just go buy some Techwear, Gucci or Maison Margiela for a change.., but i'm not that shallow that i would just buy into a brand that i have no affiliation with, it has to be part of my lifestyle.. i'm not the Gucci type, i'm just a bored sufuer..1 point
