Wish we had more to go on for the new jeans but I guess that the suspense only adds to the excitement. I remember Roy saying he wouldn't want to replicate the RxC jeans as far as exact same detailing, but here's hoping he keeps the slash pockets! Ingenious stuff and one of the things I miss most about my contest pair...The only problem with doing so is that the thighs need more room which yields curviness/intense hip flare if sized up as what resulted in my contest pair.

So you would need wider thighs, i wonder if the flare could be combated by changing the ratio of front/rear rise. slightly more rise in the back would allow the hips to move without lowering the position you wear the jeans on your hip. Although too much back rise and the bum will sag.

I'd quite like a hybrid front pocket - maybe half the angle between a 'Traditional' 501 and the Slash RxC pocket.

Did you trade your RxC jeans or just not wear them too much.

Im sure the jeans will be something 'new' as far as design goes. I know people (me included) really liked the fit and cut of the World Tour jeans.

It will be interesting to see how things have developed in regards to Roys design experience and fine tuning.

Im still impressed with the RS1's each time i wear them.

^UkeNo, I had to sell them because I wasn't giving them enough wear due to my job situation. They're better off with the new owner however because they didn't fit me right to begin with....I sized up one and the flare was too strong...

The problem i suppose is that if we don't buy them straight away we will miss out. There's so few pairs that we won't be able to wait for fit-pics from other people before we order!

I'm pretty much a lurker, but I do have two pairs of Roys - one for a slimmer fit and one for a more relaxed fit. Love these jeans!

THey look beautiful, Nihon Menpu have produced some of the most interesting denim around recently - hard to tell from the photos, but this looks to be less slubby than some of their other fabrics - but I bet it's still faster to fade then the Cone.

It's a steep price, but if you need a premium pair, what is better? Good that the Japanese economy is getting some dollars, too.

Wish I had seen this in time and snagged it. I love the ROYxCones a ton, but wish I had swiped a pair of the OG's to jump into next! The Nihon ones are certainly intriguing though - will definitely do a pilgrimage to check 'em out when I'm back Stateside! Looking forward to the first massive picture dump on here when someone brings a pair home.
