I did end up winning the BnB’s for the minimum bid. More than I wanted to spend but again, a grail pair for me(seems unlikely I’d ever find a unworn pair in my size again). I’ll post pics upon arrival.

I didn’t want to put it on blast at the time but I also ended up getting that natural indigo shirt that @eeejayaich linked to last week. After getting a month in the bb1002 world tour jeans (my grail pair now) a few years back I’ve been waiting for the stars to align on getting something from Roy. It fits like I got it tailored, I’ve really had very few shirts in my life that haven’t either been too wide in the shoulders or short in the sleeves. Here’s a crappy fit pic on this awful rainy day.

Speaking of the BNB1’s, I recently picked up a lightly worn pair off Grailed (size 31), however I unfortunately misjudged my pandemic pants sizing and they are too small and will be back up for sale. It does look like the previous owner has added a lining to the rear pockets. The fabric is pretty cool though, would love to see it after some heavy wear.

I don’t think the previous owner added the back pocket lining, I’m pretty sure that’s how Roy made them.

Thanks @Maynard Friedman I couldn’t see any stitching on the rear pocket in the original SE pictures, but now that I zoom in I can see it.

I feel like he has been doing lined pockets for a while. I have the first Ducks and they are lined to the same point too. The OG Ducks are before this release for sure.

@goodrain Picked them up from someone on the IH forum who didn't give a whole lot of info, but they seem to be a sample pair from just before second round of Big Bro jeans, the BB1002, which probably makes them one of the first pairs ever to use the Black Seed denim (!!)

The cut, fabric (incl. pocket bags & linings), and patch seem to be the same as the BB1002, but the rear pockets are the same as on any other Test Lots (mid-century Levi's shape & styling w/ hidden rivets) and the rivets are standard punch-through rather than the two-prong saucers that went on both production runs of Big Bro jeans

Really looking forward to these—the rise is gonna take some getting used to, but I figure if anyone can make a low-rise cut work it's bound to be Roy, so tomorrow morning it'll be into the washer with 'em

@julian-wolf ok I thought they looked like my BB1002s but didn't understand the the Lot 00 part. It looks like maybe a different type of (better) leather was used for the patch as well. Nice pickup!

They are slimmer than the Test Lots though so I would say don't put them in the dryer.

@chicotethat shirt looks great on you! I don’t have any of his shirts (yet) but agree that his bottoms seem almost tailored to me. All the different cuts that I have are very flattering to my body type.

@longshanks I was eyeing that pair too, but decided they were too big and I therefore wouldn’t wear them.

Lookin’ good! And yes, with the interesting but awkward to access in public inner coin pocket. It’s been a long time since he’s made bottoms in something other than denim, would be cool to see something new in that vein.
