I had my eye on it, but for $500…

Thanks @heyson. They honestly fit me perfect and is a relatively loose fit (what you’d expect from a R01 classic straight jean). They did shrink a bit from the washes/soaks, but nothing significant. I’ll be sure to post an updated fit pic when I get the chance. To get an idea, I posted a fit of me wearing them new a while a back (link below): https://supertalk.superfuture.com/topic/98423-roy-expurgated-edition/?page=182 I see you also have the same pair. You’re making good progress on them. Keep wearing em hard

Here are some progress updates on my Roy x SE R01 (Cloth Patch) after a 4th/5th soak/wash. I believe they have a total 1.5~ year of religious wear. Black Seed denim is such stubborn fade, but loving how these are turning out so far. Kind of difficult to capture the true color of this denim, but I tried my best... I have quite a bit of Roy denim in my collection that I want to eventually get to, but from the looks of how much life is left on this current pair, I'm not sure when I'll ever be getting to them FYI, the lighting is a bit off on the back pockets that looks like one side is more faded, which isn't the case.

Roy x SE R01 (Cloth Patch). About 11-12 months of solid wear. Starting to see some pops of electric blue. About to give them a 3rd wash soon...

Ah, that's unfortunate they didn't have your size then. I remember these didn't really sell out right away until a few months later, but it's still crazy to think that these came out 13 years ago. I was still in high school! The size 34 measures pretty good all around, but it's a Japanese slim-straight so the front and back rise are a bit shallow and the thighs are slimmer; However, I took that into consideration when searching for a pair and sized up (I'm a true 32) so it's still loose enough for me to wear comfortably. Luckily this pair has only been cold rinsed once as they are unsanforized so they'll most likely shrink more with hot washes/soaks, but I'll probably be only cold rinsing these moving forward. Overall, I'm very happy I was able to pick these up and add them in my collection. I'm not sure when I will be breaking them out though as I've just been religiously wearing my Roy x SE R01s, which is a super slow fader. I also have a brand new pair or Sugar Cane BSPOW Okinawa I still need to break in. Too many Jeans not enough legs lol...

    Sugar Cane Denim

Just wanted to share my joy on this recent pick up on a pair of SEXSC06 from 2008 I've been on a long search for. Always wanted a pair, but just wasn't able to afford it back in the day. I was honestly doubtful I'd ever find a pair in my size and in decent condition, but lo and behold an unworn pair popped up. It has only been cold rinsed and has not been altered or hemmed. I'm really surprised a pair in this pristine condition was even listed for sale considering it's been over a decade since its release. The cut is a Japanese slim straight, which isn't really my taste anymore (I've been wearing a lot of classic straight), but I had to pull the trigger as they are still one of my all time favorite jean. Enjoy the detailed pics below: I really enjoy the buffalo patch and the lightweight 50/50 cotton/sugarcane fibers The yellow corduroy pocket bags and pin check rear pocket lining are probably my favorite details. Very thin green selvedge line...
