Evisu is still loved!

Anyone tried the Yamane Industries denim yet? Is it the sane denim as MIJ Evisu? Are the measurements on the website all wrong just like how Evisu was? I’m highly tempted to buy a pair because they ship internationally but hoping to get some input before I pull the trigger.

@Double 0 Soul Yamane Industries is the brand of Hidehiko Yamane's son.
He took over Evisu (probably not very sucessful), then it was sold to a Chinese (?) company and after that he founded Yamane Industries. So it's a different brand.

Yamane-san himself has the brand "Yamane Art".

Bot these new brands are quite similar to old Evisu. Wasn't Yamane just a spin-off from Hidehiko Yamane?

We have a thread

Only semi-active person i can remember with Yamane is @tg76 but it's not very often i tune in here so there will probably be more

and I chopped mine off into shorts and turned the legs into a bucket hat

They are lovely denim, the opposite to my Samurais... really soft and pliable, the Indigo had lots of depth, has faded well, would still wear them except i got old and fat. I got mine about 17 or 18 years ago. Its summer here now so I will be wearing the hat.

Semi-active, that's me in general.

Wish I had kept my EVISU we were gifted for doing the DD+1 traveling pants way back

Here they are. Quite different to what is up on the yamane site now.
The free tote bag I got with them has been well used, it’s been around the world and up and down NZ several times.
Gotta go iron the brim of my hat so it’s safer to go outside.
