hey guys I have the opportunity to get either the black shadows or bk2's

I looked up some info on the black shadows but can't get a lot on the bk2's. anyone know their features?

also, would the black shadows fade to the dirty gray that was mentioned above or would they fade more like my normal 710xx

Got the BKB, but not much wear so far...

What do you need to know?

^^^^^

Anyone break in this lately cant wait to see 100% hemp potential.

...

They don't get much love around here - probably due to the exposed selvedge at the coin pocket.

Lately, I was starting to wonder about the Winter/Wool model from that series, but it seems like there is very little information available. Would love to see a broken in pair or some comments...

If you want real black denim (fading) I thing the IH SBG denim is a good choice. Though it's much more regular and not as slubby as Samurai. And all black weft.

what?  black weft would result in minimal if any fades--the contrast between the warp and weft yarns is what result in the fades

I got my s610LX17oz Jeans in.  Here are some pre-soak fit pics.  For comparison, I also took some pre-wash fit pictures of my s710BK II's.  322 days of actual wear, but I'm not too active in them so the evo isn't great. 1 wash, 2 Hot Soaks.

I'm leaning towards keeping the s610's. Thoughts?

The Black Hawk has black fly buttons similar to the 5000 BK, the Red Hawk has what looks like the standard 710 fly buttons, obviously the patches are different. I agree that the Red Hawk really does look more indigo than black in those pics.

They are both very nice but, not being a hater or anything, they don't really seem that "special". Just my two cents.

Also, the Black Hawk has black rivets while the Red Hawk has copper rivets.

yep, the 610 looks better!

the lower rise makes less "muffin top" (sorry for that ;) )

Yes, the 710 was not the best cut for me. Hopefully they will fit a little better after another wash and an eventual hem.  The 2nd wash is due in another few days.   I've been more active in them this past 5 months so I'm hoping this wash will yield a little more evo than the last wash which was a little disappointing.

I think the 610's will be a better fit for me. I hope they turn out well.
